Gross
I tried these out this month and I found that they don't come as easy as other pads, just about every time I went to take one off blood from the pad would get all over my fingers (Also they weren't full, that wasn't it) I found that kind of annoying.. They would also rip apart sometimes when I was taking them off. It's possible the ones I got were out of date or something I'm not sure. This is only my opinion.
For longest time I used to use these. These were the only disposable pads that I would buy and use. Always was simply my favourite brand of disosable pads.
I loved the length of the overnight ones. Maximum protection available But, I had to change them so often during my heavy flow days. I was always paranoid of leaks. It sucked but, was part of life. I didn't have much options them or tampoons. I always hated tampoons.
I always developed a rash towards to end of my cycle. It hurt :( Not sure if it was to much chaffing or that I was allergic to something in the pad. Perfhaps a combination of both. I hated the smell of my period when I was using them. I used to generate so much waste in my bathroom each month. All that garbage headed to the landfill because of my period.
Things all changed for me less then six month ago when I started using The DivaCup and reusable cloth Pantyliners. I am saving money, generate a lot less mess, no more monthly rashes, living healthier, I almost look forward to my periods now :)
I will never go back to any disposable pads, including these.
Ok I bought these thinking they would be amazing, I totally fell for all the hype on the commercials. Truth, they left me feeling wet all day. The are nice and light but if you are a heavy bleeder they don't absorb fast enough. I was running to change constantly and if bleeding is too heavy it just sits against the pad for much too long leaving you feeling........messy. Used it once and will never use it again.
I bought these recently with a store discount which is when it's price was comparable to my regular choice of Always pads.
Expectations -
1. Foam based so I expected it to be super absorbent.
2. Skin friendly and comfortable.
Reality -
1. I had to change more frequently than I usually do.
2. Still left me feeling wet all day and all night. In fact, I would wake up earlier because of the wet feel and had to change.
3. It also seemed to allow blood to flow to the ends along the length instead of readily absorbing which meant spotting, especially during nights.
4. Plus, disgustingly, the top layer would not allow any coagulated blood (or thick blood clot) to cling on to it which meant you are smeared all over with it
5. Lastly but most importantly, saying it left my skin hot, rashy and irritated from day one, is an understatement.
I would not recommend this to any one unless you just want to try. I am surprised so many people actually liked it. I'd rather throw away the unused ones I have remaining from the first small box I bought than actually use them just because I have them.
Disappointed.
