Repeat customer for a great product

Over the last 5-6 years I have only used Apple iPads. When our last tablet died we couldn't afford a new iPad and looked for alternative. I came across this little gem which I got on sale. On sale!! Even regular price beat the astronomical charges for other brands. I didn't have high hopes going in but boy was my mind changed. This little thing is amazing. If you need a tablet for surfing the Web, documents, email and just basic things then this is definitely for you. It isn't the fastest or most robust thing in the world but this thing has been great for me and my family. It suits all.our needs and for a fraction of the cost. I will never buy a larger brand again knowing that this alternative is around. It runs android which IMO is far superior to apple OS so I love it. Features like swiype typing and more are available. Really simple to expand your tablet memory with an external sd card. Not to mention that you don't have to stick with just amazon apps as it is really simple to add the Google play store on the tablet. Do that and your whole world opens up!

Great value could use more storage

Its a great ereader and tablet for just browsing the internet and reading books.But if you want to start loading apps you need to either upgrade or get a nice sd card to make sure your tablet will be able to hold the storage space.Great lighting at night and I like the blue shade feature as well.I love most every Amazon brand product and this one too holds up to its name!

Hopefully will get better

Picture great, sound good, price amazing, app choices awful. This is my 3rd generation of Fire and I keep hoping for improvements. Unable to download the basic of apps. It gives suggestions to undeveloped apps that don't work. Super frustrating

We recently just bought this an we have this as our only source of television and it works great. The only issue my family and i have with it is that there are a lot of ads you have to watch to watch your show. But other than that it is a reasonable price and works great.
