American Girl Dolls not as "Amazing" as the advertisements.

We purchased 2 American Girl Dolls from the American Girl store in St. Louis, KY while on vacation. Although the store was really clean,organized, and helpful employees at every turn, the dolls are really priced too high in my own opinion. We bought 2 doll, 2 pets for the dolls, and a summer outfit for each doll. After our coupon for BOGO(only for the summer outfits), our total was over $400. A trip to a well-known store with the same dolls, but only with different brand proved it not the dolls that are "better quality", but the cost is for the name of the brand. I will not buy into this product again. Lesson learned. Hard earned money spent. And the difference between the brand/non brand dolls were equal by judging my kid's smiles.

These dolls are so pretty and are of good quality! You can see a lot of details in each doll. Each doll comes with a unique story. You can also get additional clothes for the dolls that can match your childs clothing. There are endless hours of play with these cuties. My daughter loves playing with her doll and takes it everywhere with her.

Aside from their age focus, the line has a few other distinguishing details that separates it from the American Girl dolls of the past. The characters are all wearing rubber wellie boots (hence the name) and love playing outside; their books have prominent outdoors settings and one of the accessories is their little playhouse. The plots impart the importance of "stand[ing] in another person's wellies," as Dickson puts it.


There is lots of accessories to go with the 18" doll, my favorite is the spa station foot bath one. Although the price doesnt fit all income levels.

the dolls are great! they have many from historical times as well as ones you can customize to look just like whoever you want! the clothes are a bit pricey and so are the dolls, but i love them and so do the kids!

American girls are high quality and provide hours of play. There are so many cute outfits and accessories you can purchase for your doll as well. The only con is the price. I think they should cost $50-$75 not $115.

Beautiful Dolls that can be customized and selected to resemble your daughter's colouring. The can purchase extra clothing and accessories. A real collector's item that can be treasured for years to come.
