I really love my wand ! I have thick hair so I needed something with a lot of heat and the amika wands does just that ! I can curl my hair quickly and it will hold all day ! I know they are quite expensive so I bought mine on flatiron experts online and it was half off + they had a sale on top of it so it ended up been a really good deal

The price is a bit steep, at least I thought so when I was 19 and bought a $130 wand. You are able to 'talk' the sales associates down they offer what they call a staff rate.


It was worth it though. Has lasted me almost 5 years.
I find the 19mm the perfect size, the longer you hold the hair the tighter the curl will stay. I have thick long hair and I could create a full head of perfect curls in 20 minutes. The curls last too. I can go out a day later with perfect waves.

It even comes with a glove for beginners because believe me you will burn yourself at least 5times before you get the hang of it.
