Too expensive for the results

Looking for a good hair system for the summer time to keep my blonde from fading faster, I tried this set based off a recommendation. The cost of both products together was about $40 even using the cheapest site. The good thing about the products is that it has UV protection that did help maintain my color and allow it to last longer. Other than that it was a mostly negative experience. The products are super thick which halfway down the bottles make it hard to disperse. It takes a while to get the products evenly incorporated into the hair and rinse out. Even using the conditioner, my hair felt very heavy and dried out. For the price I paid just for the one benefit of the product, I feel like this just isnt the right fit for my hair type and needs.
