I agree, this book is a good beach read! If you liked The Da Vinci Code, this is very much along the same lines - conspiracy, suspense, and enough twists that it's hard to peg the ending.
If you're not familiar with Dan Brown, I'd compare the pace and ease of reading with John Grisham. This isn't a deep thinker, though people with anti-Catholic sentiments might get riled up like they did over Da Vinci Code because DB has a way of making the reader thing he's presenting facts.... but it's actually just very clever fiction. Angels & Demons is probably less pot-stirring though.
I liked it :)
By far my favourite author. He has the most interesting plots, and always loves creating a good twist!
Everytime I read a new book of his, I always guess what the *special* twist is, and read on. I'm never right!
Angels and Demons is my favourite of all, and ironically, I first opened this book to study for a class.
I love the little "facts" (that aren't really facts) that are included, but makes you really question society and artwork.
Maybe it's because I am in love with Da Vinci, and italian renaissance...Or maybe it's because of the suspense and thrill of it all, but I always recommend Angels and Demons to anyone in need of a good read.
Dan Brown's writing is not the best, and his style is more of a literal, rather than descriptive tone.
It's like watching a movie..but in a book (though the movie wasn't a very good representation of the book itself)
Another great book by Dan Brown. It is filled with suspense and mystery and will have you thinking and guessing until the very end. The movie doesn't do this book justice.
