This was an ok mascara for everyday, I could use it. I found the comb side to be too clumpy, so the the volumizing side helped to separate and define my lashes. This is useable, but there is a learning curve associated with it. I could only put on 2 coats of this before it started to clump, so it did not give me much thickness or volume.
This mascara works well. Mine has a two sided brush so that you can use the bigger side for the initial coating and the small side to smooth any imperfections out. I even got a deal where you buy 2 for the price for 1 - can't go wrong.
This is one of the few mascaras I’ve got at hand (and will be growing). I LOVE the color of the tube but i realy dont like how the volumelash.com is written in there. I think that it promotes the site more than anything else. If my sister did not get for me for free I would not see myself buying it.
Okay so for the first few tries, I was not happy. It clumped my lashes, maybe because there was a lot of mascara inside the tube. After that is fine, it gave me volume that I wanted.
I would not use this on special occassions, but if you want a natural look. I would recommend using the Annabelle mascara. To avoid the clumps ( if ever it happens to you ), the trick is use the comb first (it does come out thick on this side) and then even it out with the wire brush. Finally finish your bottom lashes with the wire brush WITHOUT redipping the brush. You can usually do it all with one collection from the tube. The more you redip the more spiderlike your lashes will be.
Recommendation: For those who want a natural look and want the lips to stand out more than the eyes.
i love this mascara! one side of the brush is made to get out the clumps as you appy it...works great! i recomend Annabelle volumelash mascara
I got the product free from a giveaway. And I'm kind of thankful I did.
Though I did find that when I took my time it did give me noticeable length (I have short, sparse lashes), and a bit of volume, because of the way the brush is, it took more than than I felt was necessary to spend on my lashes.
It does take a bit of time to get used to the dual brush concept, and really depends on finding which way works for you.
I did have to recurl my lashes after the initial application mainly cause it would undo the curler I did prior to it.
I also noticed an interesting smell, though not horrible.
I would personally stick to the Stiletto cause of the ease of use on my own lashes.
I got a full sized sample from annabelle last year. I love this mascara. It does not clump and my lashes are longer and have more volume after using this product. The curl on my lashes stay for the entire day when I use this mascara. I wear contacts and this product is great because it does not flake and get into my eyes. Therefore it is great for sensitive eyes and people that wear contact lenses. The mascara goes on smoothly and you do not feel that you have mascara on. The colour is a nice black that looks very natural. This mascara is different from other ones because it has a two sided brush. One side has thicker bristles and the other side has thinner bristles. It allows for better application and elongation of lashes. I definitely recommend this product!
Annabelle's volumelash boasts 5x more volume. After just one application of the mascara, my eyelashes did look longer and thicker. I usually have to reapply a couple of times to get my lashes thick. It also stayed on my lashes the whole day. No black smudges in the corner of my eyes, no raccoon eyes either.
The application, half brush - half comb combination, did take some getting used to. But once I got the hang of it, it became easy. The best thing to do is apply with the brush, then comb to separate, then brush, then comb again.
Another con for me is when I first opened the tube, a strong chemical smell came out. I was hesitant at first to put something so chemical smelling so close to my eyes, but it went away after a while.
