Fun and Safe Tridents for Aquaman Play!

I received the Aquaman Role Play Set (Trident) for free in exchange for an honest review. The set comes with both Aquaman and Black Manta’s tridents (about 35 inches), and they are a good size for your little one’s hand. The box says it’s for 4 years old and above but my 4yo just wanted to stab his siblings with it (yikes), FORTUNATELY the tips of the trident are SOFT and it’s actually safe. Don’t get me wrong, it still hurts a tad bit if you get stabbed (from my personal experience yes). It’s probably a good idea to sit your little one down with clear instructions on what NOT to do before handing them the tridents. My slightly older ones (8yo) seems to have more fun with it, acting out a fight scene with his siblings, and it’s actually pretty fun to watch!

On to some improvements, the plastic quality of the tridents is slightly on the poorer side, I don’t think the tridents will last too long with some rough play. It took me quite a bit to put the trident together because the plastic wouldn’t go in at the joints. You’re supposed to put it in and turn but it took quite some muscles to get them in, and even then, the scripting on Aquaman’s trident doesn’t match up perfectly – not that my little ones care at all, which is great. That being said, because the plastic is a bit more on the “secure” side, there’s less chance of the tridents coming apart during rough play, which I really appreciate. All in all, great gift if your little one is into Aquaman, and the tips are safe for playing, just make sure they don’t poke the littler ones in the family!
