I received Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal Lightweight litter to try for free through Chick Advisor. I was really excieted for my cats to use it and for me to clean it lol. First off omg is it ever light very easy to carry. Second the smell was nice some think a bit to strong but I liked it. However I WILL NOT be buying this litter in the future for it clumps like crap no pun intended! As soon as I shake the scooper all the clumps just fall apart making a mess it kinda of defeats the purpose for clumping cat litter I most defiantly will stick to my off stuff its too bad If It just clumped alot better
So my cats now have been using the litter for a week now. 7 days litter still smells great it really does . Which left me very surprised Again I really loved how light the litter was no dust what so ever BUT.......... The clumping power I will give a soild 60% rating when i picked up the litter and gave a light shake chunks would fall off which is not what I am looking for . If a change was to be done to make ithe litter a stronger clump I would be a regular buying but just because of the clumping power in m a no on this one Everything elseos great quite a shame
I was really looking forward to trying this new product out, as hauling heavy boxes of cat litter home via the subway isn't fun. It is very light weight, but that's pretty much where the truth in advertising ended for me. I didn't really care for the scent (I prefer unscented), the litter didn't clump as well as my current brand, and although there wasn't dust per-say, the litter did scatter across the floor as my cat got in and out of the litter box. I'm grateful to have been chosen by Chick Advisor to try this product out, but I'd have to pass on purchasing this litter in the future.
When I went to pick up this litter I had some hesitation as I have tried this brand before but wanted to see what the new type would be like. I was 50/50 in being right about how I was feeling. Although it was light, the scent was a bit over powering and didn't seem like a lot was in the box. I still prefer the brand I have been using as I find it absorbs better but would consider this as a backup option.
I received the Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal LightWeight Litter , For free threw the Chick Advisor . The first couple of days it controlled the odor ... After that it let me down and I could smell the litter box and didn't clump as it was supposed to . The cats didn't like the texture of the litter . The only positive thing I can think of it is very light to carry and to use..
Not really happy with this product. I had high expectations and was happy at the lightweight of this product...especially since I'm the one who buys the litter in our house. When we brought it home we dumped out all of our old litter and cleaned the boxes as we do normally, then added the Arm & Hammer Lightweight litter. It smelled great and looked a lot like a sand versus the rocky texture of our old litter. We have 2 cats and 2 litter boxes so I made sure both boxes had this new litter. Our one cat doesn't seem too care that the litter was changed and there has been no smell from her litter box as of yet. Our other cat used her litter for a few days but then she rejected the box and began going potty on the floor and bathroom mats so I added some of her regular litter on top and she's been fine ever since. There has also been no foul smells coming from her box.
I was super stoked to be able to review Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal LightWeight Cat Litter, for many reasons. I was lucky enough last year to review their new litter and to be able to review a lightweight one- yes please!!!
This was such a treat to pick up as it is pretty light and lifting the litter into the cart normally, lets be real is extremely annoying and sometimes painful. This was great. The design to me wouldn’t be the best unless you had a little scooper to get the litter out of the box but it is so lightweight it is easy to pour into the box.
I treat my two little, well big cats like they rule the world, so they of course have 2 littler boxes that I clean daily. I keep the usual litter in the one and used Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal LightWeight Cat Litter in the other. To my sad surprise, they didn’t even touch the new litter! For a few days the box was completely unused. I was super shocked as normally they use both and they are both full. I changed the little in the other box with the rest of the Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal LightWeight Cat Litter I had left ( not a lot, I have to admit the box is pretty small for the $$) and my cats had no choice but to use it.
Less dust, not 100% but a LOT compared to what I was previously using, my cats seemed just fine with the litter… I didn’t notice much for smell but I clean it daily so I don’t usually ever smell it anyway. This product clumps well.(very important to me!)
I also found the litter a little too fine so there was more around the boxes and being tracked around which is kind of not what we want but other then that I think it is a great product!
The price for the amount is the only thing that throws me off =/
The first thing I noticed about this litter is its weight, or lack thereof. I couldn't believe how how I didn't have to struggle to get the litter into my shopping basket and then the trunk of my car. In terms of effectiveness, there's not too much difference from any other cat litter except I did notice much less dust and since the granules are so small, they are much easier to clean up off the floor with my vacuum. The real selling point was its pleasant, long lasting scent that totally masked any poop my cat made. I would buy this litter again, if it was at a much lower price point. Compared to the other litters on the market, this one is quite pricey and I am not sure if its advantages are truly significant enough to justify the really huge price gap. If the price was 1/2 price lower (comparable to other lightweight litters), then I would have no hesitation to buy again.
I didn't like the fact that the grains are so small that my cat carries it all over my appartment. There's litter everywhere! And the box is way too small for the prize of it. There's no odour but that's the only thing that works for me. I won't buy again for sure.
This product is definitely lightweight. Makes scooping easier and the dust free factor is definitely a bonus. It would be better if it had a little milder odour. I do recommend it, but it is a bit pricey compared to regular litter. Sadly, it took the whole box to fill one litter pan.
Thought I'd change it up and use this because it is light weight. That part of the name doesn't disappoint. However, with 3 cats I went through this box quicker than the normal clump and seal(what I buy always). The liquid doesn't harden clump, it gels. So for anyone with a weak stomach for things like that, skip this product. Also within 24 hrs you could tell the cats had used the litter. The odor does not seal in. And then the cost for this over the other clump and seals is not worth the extreme lightweight of this litter.
