Not getting the job done
I was so excited for this product mostly because of how lightweight the box was! Everyone who owns cats knows what a pain it is struggling to get a big box of litter in and out of your cart, but this litter fell short in the really important categories like odour control and being tracked out of the litter box on furry paws.
I have used this litter when I had multiple cats, and again when I had only 1. I have used other varieties of lightweight litter with better outcomes. I found this litter to not hold up well to odour, or have good scoopability.
The litter is dust free but the pieces od litter are tracked way too easily and you have to sweep or vacuum after each use. The price is a little higher than i prefer as well.
This product was definitely a disappointment. We have 2 cats in our household each with their own litter box. We used the product in one and our usual product in the other. The Arm and Hammer Clump and Seal did not perform.near as well as our normal brand. It was very dusty and did not Clump. As far as sealing in the odour it did not perform.near near as well as our usual brand. Overall very dissatisfied with the product and would not purchase in the future.
This is the messiest litter I have ever used. I had to vacuum every day because large rocks wound up throughout the room. I don't find it particularly good at clumping either. I much prefer my old Arm & Hammer Multi-Cat and will be switching back to it immediately after this box runs out - which thankfully happens faster than any other litter. I imagine it has something to do with all the litter rocks ending up outside of the box. At 13$ a box, I don't see myself ever purchasing this again.
My cat who has never really been picky about litter was not a fan of this one. She would not go into the litter box until I put some of her other litter in it. Maybe it was the smell I can't be sure. The light weight was nice but not enough to justify the right price.
I was very intrigued by the lightweight clumping litter that Arm & Hammer is now offering, since a few other companies are advertising this new and improved product. I had previously tried the Tidy Cats lightweight litter but was less than impressed. While the Arm & Hammer does stand up against its claim of clumping and sealing in the scents- the lightweight formula means it travels further on my hardwood floors. I find it scatters across the room after my cat jumps out of the litter box and it sticks to socks easier than the regular clay/heavier litter. That being said, it sticks to my cats paws easier and it is so dusty! Cleaning the litter box means standing a good meter away in hopes the dust doesn't rise too high and hit me. I also now see paw prints on the back of my black couch. Overall, I wouldn't buy this product again. It is so messy and I have to vacuum more frequently than I already do (3+ times a week).
It's lightweight but doesn't work as far as the odour and it clumps too much that it wastes a lot of it. I go thru it quickly. I only have one cat, but yet it still doesn't kill the odour.
