I really enjoyed this movie. It's the story of a high school student who just moves into a new town with his mom. He is nerdy and struggles to fit in at first. He meets a lovely girl (Emma Roberts) who randomly has a MRI machine in her house. I personally found that detail a little ridiculous. Anyway, one of his teachers assigns an essay to the class. Each student has to interview an older person and transform that into an essay. Ed (main character) ends up bonding with his peculiar neighbor (Mickey Rourke) who has a very interesting past.
I really like the twist on this movie, it turns surprisingly dark.
