So I was very against watching this, but still managed to get dragged along by some friends to the theatre.
So glad that happened!!! This movie wasn't at all what I was expecting - I loved most every minute of it. There are such fine details in every part of this movie and you can see the brilliant imagination of the writers/directors/everyone involved in all of the scenes.
I think one of my favorite things about this movie was the underlying message of connectivity. Most movies that are out now adays have very shallow messages/messages I don't really care about following, but this definitely wasn't one of them.
This movie is definitely better in 3-D (I've seen it both in theatres and at home), but none the less still good on a home screen.

great and the plot and what the whole stories about is very

I just saw this movie last night!
My boyfriend dragged me to see it, I wasn`t into it at all, all that I have heard was that the story is lame and the effects are wow, so it didn`t really appeal to me.
Well, the story is really really nice, fascinating and the effects are indeed wow. It`s crazy. The details, the fauna, the concept... a must see movie!!!!! And you must see it in 3D to really enjoy and experience this movie.

Avatar absolutely lives up to the hype. I would honestly say it's the best movie I've ever seen. It's so visually spectacular, I haven't seen anything like it. The story is beautiful and I just love the concept.

The 3D glasses took some getting used to and I found myself a bit nauseous at parts, but I was so sucked into the story I got over it. Though this has been out for a month already shows are still sold out at theatres. I'd recommend going an hour early to get a decent seat.

This is not a rental - you must experience it in theatres. Don't think about it, just go.

I saw this movie in the theater over the Christmas holiday in 2D. The story centers around a future in which humans come to the planet Pandora to mine a valuable mineral ... but the indigenous alien population is in the way.

This movie is as technically grandiose as the hype promised. I would indeed recommend this movie on the techy strength alone, as I was actually disappointed in the plot. I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but shall say that we've seen this exact story before, a certain very popular movie from 1993 or so. I found it so distractingly predictable that I decided to evaluate it on the special effects alone... and that's when I really started to enjoy this movie.

See it in 3D in theaters (as I intend to do)! This will be what makes the movie memorable. Don't wait for the DVD release.
