Shampoo works with flakes
My skin is unique. I have psoriasis, but mainly on my scalp (which is not overly common). For me this shampoo works, but only if I use randomly as my skin tends to adapt to the product and if I use it regularly it becomes less effective. This is likely an issue unique to myself. The regular size bottle costs around $30 so I never opted to buy the conditioner too. Perhaps that would make a difference. I will continue to purchase. It lathers well and smells good.
Great for oily scalp
I found this shampoo works wonders for my super oily scalp and hair! It feels all tingly and refreshing! Although it is so so so expensive! But worth it in my opinion.
It works
I love this shampoo, it’s smell very pleasant and soothing, easy and gentle on my hair. My scalp is not itchy too, the price is a bit high, but it’s worth trying
Balancing shampoo
The shampoo is very gentle and supposed to balance the ph on your scalp. I have very oily hair and this helps my scalp to be less oily. The only problem is it makes my hair so limp without any volume, at all. For the price, I expect more than this.
I have very oily hair and was in the market for a really good cleanser and my trainer recommended this to me. It's a bit pricer than I was hoping but it has done wonders for my hair. It leaves it feeling fresher and healthier without leaving it dry and brittle. The scent is a bit strong so I wouldn't recommended it to anyone that was looking for a fresh scent but if you don't mind I'd definitely say it's worth trying out. Unfortunately I recently found out the product has been discontinued so pick it up while you still can!
This product did not work for me at all. I had noticed that my scalp was dry and itchy, as did my stylist, so I purchassed it from her. About 2 months into the bottle, my husband commented that I had really bad dandruff. Upon close examination, my entire head was one giant flake! My scalp also felt dry and tight. I threw out the rest of the bottle, because I was so unhappy with it. My husband also hates the smell.
I get crazy itchy scalp during the winter, resulting in flaky skin. The Aveda Scalp Benefits shampoo and conditioner help to calm the itchy feeling and get rid of flakes. The products do this so well as they're designed to restore your scalp's pH levels back to normal.
The products smell really nice, which is unusual for a scalp treatment as most smell fairly medicinal. What's more, the shampoo and conditioner actually do a great job of leaving my hair soft and silky!
The only downside is that they're fairly expensive at about $20/bottle.
