Painful and pointless!

I was delighted to receive this product for free to review from #ChickAdvisor as I generally enjoy Aveeno products but my happiness was unfortunately short lived. AVEENO ABSOLUTELY AGELESS PRE-TOX PEEL OFF MASK started off alright, but I found the product to be extremely sticky, and almost like glue, which made applying it carefully was more challenging than it needed to be. The color was interesting but unnecessary as it really didn’t add anything to the experience. The mask took a long time to dry and although I was anticipating some pulling and a bit of pain when removing it, I did not expect it to hurt like it did! OUCH! I would NEVER use this product again as it hurt like crazy when I carefully peeled it off!!! Wow! I didn’t enjoy that at all and it did nothing special to my skin...certainly nothing to reward me for the aggravation and suffering! If anything, my skin was left feeling abused and agitated. I do not recommend this product.

Wasn’t even slightly satisfied.

I’m going to start off by saying that this product was so disappointing. I had high hopes for it, I love using face masks and especially more recently I’ve begun trying numerous brands. I’ve always considered Aveeno to be a good brand and figured this peel-off mask would be a hit. It wasn’t!
First of all, the nozzle to squeeze the product out is tiny, like the size of what cake decorators use for writing on cakes. So only a little came out at a time and I prefer to get a whole bunch of it out to spread across my face in one big swoop. The product is sticky, it honestly seemed like it was a bottle of Elmer’s glue with colouring and fragrance in it. It was really messy to apply. Took a really long time to dry and then hurt like crazy peeling off. I did anticipate that the peeling part would hurt a little though! It didn’t seem to really have any effect on my skin however but all in all I like to try things a couple times before I completely write them off so I am going to continue using the product to see how I feel about it later.

Mauvaise expérience

J'ai essayé le nouveau masque peel off de Aveeno. J'étais très excitée, mais j'ai aussi été très déçue. J'ai appliqué une couche, mais ça ne donne pas du tout la couleur sur l'image. C'était très pâle. J'ai eu beaucoup de difficulté à enlever le masque et il y avait des résidus sur le contour. Peut-être en appliquant une couche plus épaisse, cela aurait été mieux, mais si un masque prend la moitié du tube, ce n'est pas l'idéal. Mon copain n'a pas aimé non plus son expérience. Nous n'avons pas trouvé que notre peau était plus hydratée par après. Je préfère de loin le masque traditionnel à l'argile. Je ne conseille pas le produit.
