Really Works to reduce puffiness and dark circles

I only developed lots of puffiness and bad Darin circles about a year and an half ago as a result of very aggressive cancer treatment I received. That really ended up making my skin look bad - specially around my eyes and I looked like I had aged terribly. So when k got a chance to try the Aveeno Calm + Restore Age Renewal Eye Gel from Butterly and Aveeno, I was naturally very happy. At the same time I was apprehensive because I have seen so many people say that no amount of gels and creams have helped them with the puffiness and dark circles in the eye area. I typically don’t wear eye make everyday for the last 2 years or so so you can really see my dark circles very prominently. As I started testing the gel, I had lots of reservations about its effectiveness and ability to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles along with it being able to even put my skin tone. I have been using it consistently at night for the last 4 weeks and am happy to say that I really have seen the results for myself. It’s helped me reduce puffiness, doesn’t burn my eyes or the skin around when I apply it, gets absorbed very easily and doesn’t leave the eye area feeling sticky & it genuinely has visibly reduced my dark circles as well. So I can say now that I’m a believer!

Moisturizing, but ineffective

I had the opportunity to try Aveeno Calm & Restore Age Renewal Serum & Eye Gel for sensitive skin. Both products are fragrance free with cranberry extract, a plant based retinol alternative. The serum claims it hydrates and visibly improves the look of fine lines and wrinkles. The Eye gel claims it visibly improves the look of wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles.

I tried both products as directed for 4 weeks. Both products felt great on the skin. I don’t have sensitive skin, but they both felt very gentle & hydrating. As advertised there wasn’t much of a smell either. Unfortunately, other than that, I didn’t experience any of the results the products claimed to offer. My dark circles didn’t lighten up & there was no change to my wrinkles or overall skin tone or brightness. As a serum & eye gel, it was nice to use, but I can’t recommend it for dark circles & wrinkles as it seemed ineffective for me.

Cool/Soothed Eyes

Received this product free from @thisisbutterly in exchange for my honest opinion. Survived clocks springing forward and March break late nights without getting dark eye circles or puffy eyes by using Aveeno® Calm + Restore Age Renewal Eye Gel. I gently patted the lightweight eye gel underneath my eyes and instantly felt a cooling sensation. My eyes felt refreshed and moisturized each morning, reduced puffiness and ready for the day. No more cucumber slices needed when using this eye gel enriched with Colloidal Oatmeal and cranberry extract. Also suitable for use after a long day, when you just need to sooth your tired eyes!

Improves the look of fine lines

Instantly it left the skin feeling soothed & hydrated. I liked that it was lightweight, absorbed and was easy to apply. It applies on the skin smoothly and does not leave a greasy feel. There is no fragrance and it is gentle enough for sensitive skin and daily use. I used it day and night for 4 weeks with the serum. It really helped at softening and reducing the look of fine lines around the eyes and I didn’t experience any puffiness while using it. I also didn't have any dark circles. It goes on before you moisturize your skin so it depends on your moisturizer as well that you use on top probably. I only put it as a 4 as I didn't notice a change with wrinkles but may take more time. I like that it didn't dry out the skin. I also liked the gel feeling.

Nice eye cream

It's a very nice cream for eyes that absorbs well. No irritation at all. No scent which is great and skin feels soft. I wish I had more time with it but am running out.

Love the Gel

I have been using the Aveeno calm & restore renewal eye gel for a little over 4 weeks and it has changed my after shower routine for life. I love the cooling feeling of the Gel on my under eyes right after a hot shower. It dries pretty quickly and doesn’t dry sticky which is a bonus. Super lightweight and will last a while.

Feels great

I loved how it felt on my face. It went on smooth and felt really lightweight. It looks like it lightened the skin under my eyes or maybe it’s because it was firmer but really did seem to work. Will keep using the product.

The best cooling feeling

This eye gel had such a great cooling effect. No matter what temperature I store it at, it remains quite cool, which is wonderful on tired puffy eyes, it instantly felt refreshing. I don't have a ton of eye wrinkles but it seems to have smoothed out the fine lines around my eyes. I really liked this gel and would buy it for myself. I liked that it truly was unscented. The only thing that didn't work for me, was that I could not apply makeup after using this gel, it just didn't mesh well with my concealer and instead made my concealer appear blotchy. I opted to use it at night on a freshly cleaned face. Otherwise, no complaints.

Pleasantly surprised! Eyes look way brighter!

Pleasantly surprised! My under eye area is looking smoother and so much more awake!I enjoyed this product. I'm usually a high-end skincare person but was so impressed with the quality of this product. This eye gel felt great on my under eye area upon application. It was cooling, hydrating, and most importantly .. smooth! It performed well under makeup too, which is a huge bonus.. My under eye area looked smooth and hydrated, almost as if I get enough sleep at night. Not many nurses can say that haha!!. Thank you Aveeno for the opportunity to try this excellent product!

Overall pretty decent

This eye gel is pretty decent! Like most Aveeno products, this also is gentle and has a good soft feel without being greasy or leaving a residue. This eye gel was lightly scented which may irritate some people.
