A hydrating retinol alternative

Thank you to Butterly and Aveeno for letting me try this age renewal serum. It is a plant based retinol alternative, which I found interesting and appealing to try. I found when using it, my skin did look brighter, even right after using it. Using it consistently, I did notice that it continued to make my skin feel and look both brighter and smoother and I noticed a small improvement in my skin’s tone. I have sensitive skin and it did not cause any dryness, redness or irritation. The only slight con is that though this is fragrance free, it had a bit of an unpleasant scent that ironically comes from products being fragrance free. However, if you’re looking for a retinol alternative that is easy to use(it’s not sticky or greasy), good for sensitive skin and does help the overall improvement of your skin, I would recommend this product to try.

Unscented and feels nice on skin

I used this every night before bed for the past 2 weeks. I found it very light and liked the fact that it was unscented. I have noticed a difference on my face (I look more awake) when I use this product. I use Renewal Serum followed by moisturizing. Will be adding this to my daily routine.

Smoothing

Thanks to Butterly for sending me this product free to review. This serum is very light weight and absorbed into my skin fast. It did not interfere with my moisturizer I applied afterwards. I used this product for a few weeks and noticed that my skin was smoother. My fine lines were less noticeable due to my skin being smoother and hydrated. I would recommend this product.

Soothing and calming serum

I’ve been using this serum after cleansing for the past four weeks…cleansing always irritates my skin and I’ve been having some allergic flare ups too, but this serum seems to calm my irritated skin. It goes on smoothly and leaves no greasy residue, de-puffing my skin and minimizing fine lines in the process. Can’t say enough good about it, I really enjoy this serum and the packaging is gorgeous as well. Good job Aveeno!

Calm and Restore

This was my first time trying the Aveeno Calm and Restore line. This serum has cranberry extract and Oat which is perfect for soothing my skin especially in the colder/windy weather. The consistency is like a regular serum, not to liquidy or too thick. It is unscented but in my opinion there is a oat smell.

Light weight

The Aveeno Calm + Restore Age Renewal Serum is good for my sensitive and dry skin . It's fragrance free and doesn't cause any irritation. It's light weight and absorbs quickly, no sticky or rubbery residue. It layers well with moisturizer. I use it both day and night after cleanser and toner, followed by moisturizer.

Great Product

I love this serum very lightweight. I like the texture it's very silky and smooth. lightweight formula that absorbs easily into my skin, leaving no sticky or greasy feeling. It's fragrance-free. It is formulated with Cranberry Extract, a plant-based retinol alternative, with antioxidant-rich peptides, that's helps to improve the look of fine lines & wrinkles.

This serum has great ingredients like oats and cranberry extract - a plant based rentinol alternative. It is also fragrance free. It has a really nice, soft, thick texture. It sinks into the skin easily and quickly and has a nice cooling effect. While you need to use it regularly for a long period of time to see any noticeable improvement in your skin woth regards to fine lines and wrinkles, I did notice that my skin felt hydrated and softer just after a couple of uses.

Calm +Restore Age Renewal serum

I really love how this hydrated my skin. It really took only one use to feel the hydration. I have sensitive skin, and this did not irritate me whatsoever, I think it's a great alternative to Retinol. However, I did not notice a reduced appearance of fine lines after 4 weeks. I'll still continue to use it, though, because my skin looks incredible regardless!

Gentle and nourishing on my skin

Unlike the Aveeno Calm + Restore Age Renewal Eye Gel, I find that this serum is very gentle and nourishing on my skin . The best part is that it has helped in making my skin more smoother. Its definitely very lightweight and absorbs nicely on my skin. . Also love that its non scented. Its a great addition for my skincare routine.
