Great Hydration.

I received Aveeno Calm + Restore Age Renewal Serum for free to try and provide my honest experience.

At first glance, I like the look and feel of the product. The container is slightly frosted, so it gives a nice appearance and is nice to hold and touch - smooth but not slippery. The product writing makes use of different colours, so it is easy to distinguish.

I took pictures on the day I started using these products and again today. The wrinkles on my forehead have been greatly reduced. And my skin tone looks more even. My skin feels plump and hydrated.
Overall I would say this products works as advertised.

I like that this product has an easy to use pump. Aveeno suggests to use a dime size amount. I was using 2 pumps in order to get good coverage over my face and a bit on neck. I have been using the product for about a month, and still have half a bottle left, so the bottle lasts a good amount of time.

This product is meant to be used prior to a moisturizer. I was using it as a moisturizer as it was hydrating my skin enough that I didn't require anything else.

The serum is very gentle. I did not experience any sensitivities to it. It absorbed into the skin quickly and well. My skin feels smooth afterwards and no greasy or heavy feeling.

I had no issues with the serum and found it provided noticeable results, so I will continue to use it.

Great retinol alternative

Being a dry skin person, I have always been sensitive to retinol but with increasing fine lines I needed something to help! This is a holy grail as an amazing retinol alternative from such a trusted brand with amazing ingredients. I have been using it on my smile lines and I can see a smooth effect in ten days. I am expecting amazing results from it and so happy to be introduced to this amazing product.

Not for me

I tried the Aveeno Calm and Restore Age Renewal Serum, and was disappointed after using it for a week. I applied it to clean skin and found it irritated my skin.

This is a perfect moisturizer with 24 hour moisturisation. I love the serum is very calming, not too heavy but very hydrating. The best is it won't clog pores. It instantly smoothes, soothes and fortifies the skin's moisture barrier leaving the skin restored. The lightweight texture, fast absorption & hypoallergenic formula is gentle and suitable for all kinds of skin. I have definitely seen an improvement on my skin after using it.

Age Renewal Serum - this serum smooths the looks of lines & wrinkle after 4 weeks, hydrates & soothes the skin. I liked this serum the more I used it. My skin does feel smoother & more hydrated. As for the lessening of wrinkles,again I can't say for sure without a measuring tool but assume they're lessened because of how smooth & moisturized my skin felt. This is a nice lightweight serum that works well under makeup and with other skincare.

The Name Says It All

I really should have done a "before" picture. There's nothing in the description that says the serum will even out skin tone, but I really think it did! While Butterly sent this to me for free, I'm glad they did because it has really helped with the flaking around my nose and evening out my skin tone. I'm 54 years old and menopause has really done a number on my skin. After 4 weeks of use, The Aveeno Calm and Restore serum made my skin feel smoother - I have no red flareups when I use it. So grateful there is no fragrance to this AND that the bottle is glass. If you have mature sensitive skin, this might be the product to try! Retinol ususally burns my skin a bit, but this plan based alternative is working wonders!

Lovely texture, but caused breakouts

I really liked the smell and feel of this. But it did give me small white heads. New ones appeared a few hours after every use. Otherwise, this was a very nice and lightweight.
