My thoughts…

I received Aveeno® Calm + Restore Age Renewal Serum for free in exchange for a review after trialling it. I’ve been searching for a skincare line that addresses aging and sensitivity. I was excited to be chosen to trial this serum as the description states that it “Instantly leaves skin feeling soothed & hydrated;
Leaves skin feeling smoother & healthier in just 1 week;
Visibly improves the look of dullness, uneven skin texture, fine lines & wrinkles in 4 weeks” without causing redness, dryness or sensitivity.
I tried it for 2 days and I had to discontinue using it as it caused redness on my cheeks and under my jawline became itchy. Also it left a film on my face that felt unnatural which was very unpleasant for me. I will not be purchasing this product in the future and I also do not feel confident in recommending it. Thank you for the opportunity to try it out.

Serum moisturizers well

I found the serum to be very moisturizing but given that I have combination skin I wouldn’t layer any moisturizer on top as it would be too oily. I didn’t notice any change in my skin, though after a while of using it I developed small itchy bumps along my jawline.

Aveeno Calm and Restore Age Renewal Cream

I am sorry I don't have a better review. I received this product not that long ago and I've been very busy dealing with the passing of my husband unexpectedly. If you wish for a better review I need sometime to try it out.

Does Not Calm and Restore

I received a full size sample of Aveeno Calm+Restore Age Renewal Serum from Butterly. I used the product for 4 weeks and didn’t see any change in my skin. Fine lines were not reduced and it didn’t even out my skin tone.

Dried my skin

Unfortunately after a week or two of using this serum in combination with the age renewal eye gel, I saw no benefit, and actually began to experience a lot of dryness. I have used Aveeno products before with no issues, and in fact I've been using their daily facial moisturizer for quite some time now, but I have not had a good experience thus far with the products in their Calm and Restore line. I also didn't much like the oat and cranberry smell of this serum. Thankfully it wasn't super strong and didn't linger, but the initial whiff of it was not good.

Does not work for me

Does not work. It makes my skin dry. This anti-aging lotion promised results, but it fell short. Despite consistent use, I saw minimal improvement in my skin's texture and fine lines. Disappointing!

No difference

I received this product free as part of a promotional program. This serum just did not address any of my skin concerns. There was some moisturizing effect but no dewiness as one would expect to see after application, no visible reduction of fine lines, certainly the claim of reducing dullness I did not find to be the case on my skin. When changing back to my original serum, I immediately noticed effectiveness in moisture, brightness and glow.

Had a reaction after one application

I was excited to test this product and was impressed with its pretty packaging and statements, reporting it wouldn’t cause redness dryness or sensitivity.

The product itself was fragrance free, non greasy and easy to apply. After cleansing, I applied the product as directed. I noted a few minutes after application some stinging and tingling on my entire face (my eyes were experiencing the same from the eye gel). It did stop after a few minutes so I assumed it was working?…. This morning I woke to a very red, swollen/puffy and irritated face. I have a small raised rash and blotches. Some peeling/dry spots noted under my eyes and on cheeks. My face is tight and has burning feeling and my skin looks and feels awful. I have now experienced a reaction despite the products statement it wouldn’t cause this reaction. I have stopped all use and will not be able to continue use. This may work for others but didn’t for me and I now am hoping my reaction goes away quickly. Not impressed or happy. I will continue to use my other loyal Aveeno products but this is going to be disposed of.

Caused a skin reaction

I was unable to effectively do the 4 week trial so I can't speak to the results from an anti aging perspective but as someone with sensitive skin I can shed some light. I was super excited when I saw on the packaging suitable for sensitive skin but for me this was not the case, I immediately had red spots on my face with a burning sensation along with smaller raised red spots on my neck and chest shortly after. Clearly it was a reaction of some sort to the ingredients so if your skin doesn't react it may be great. I will say texture was nice and I liked that it did have a perfume like smell like many other facial prices have. I had the same reaction with both the eye cream and the serum from the same skin care line.
