Gentle Yet Falls Short

As someone with sensitive skin, I'm always on the lookout for products that cater to my specific needs. Aveeno Calm+Restore Body Wash caught my attention with its promise of being fragrance-free and paraben-free, along with its recognition by the Canadian Dermatology Association and its inclusion of oat, aloe, and Provitamin B5.

While I wasn't entirely disappointed by this product, I also wasn't its biggest fan. Despite its claims of being fragrance-free, I couldn't help but notice a slight scent reminiscent of salicylic acid, which was off-putting for me.

I also found that the body wash didn't quite live up to its cleansing claims. It didn't leave my skin feeling as refreshed and cleansed as I had hoped. Perhaps it's because of its gentle formula meant for sensitive skin, but I felt like it lacked the thorough cleansing power and lather that I look for in a body wash.

That being said, I can understand why someone with much more sensitive skin than myself might appreciate its gentle nature and subtle scent. And it's reassuring to know that it's recognized by experts in skin health. However, I'll be continuing my search for a body wash that checks all my wish list boxes.

I have tried Aveeno before and this body wash impressed me just like other products from the brand. It feels so smooth and moisturizer on the skin. I had pretty dry skin before I started using this product and I could see positive results within days of use. It is very gentle on the skin and I love it for this. Skin feels soft and supple even hours after use. The packaging is very neat and impressive too.

Amazing for Sensitive Skin

I always struggle to find a body wash that is actually gentle on my sensitive skin. This body wash was very gentle on my skin and left my skin feeling clean and moisturized and hydrated. It didn’t leave a heavy feeling on my skin and there wasn’t a heavy fragrance. Highly recommend trying this body wash if you have sensitive skin!

Aveeno Calm and Restore Body Wash

This body wash worked beautifully on my children, zero reactions it suds up extremely well. I love that it's fragrance free, however because of the oats it leaves behind the odd smell lotions with oats can have. For myself though I did have a slight skin reaction to the body wash, which I usually get from most body washes but I did enjoy the way it felt on my skin and how I felt afterwards.

Great for dry skin

This body wash is also fragrance free, Paraben free, and is aimed at dry and sensitive skin. After using it for a couple of weeks, I noticed that my skin was softer and hydrated after taking a shower. This paired with the aveeno calm and restore body lotion has been amazing for my dry skin.

Best product for sensitive skin

If you have sensitive skin, this body wash is worth trying as it has a gentle formula and is unscented. The gel-like consistency is also a nice feature, making it easy to apply and spread evenly across your skin.

While it didn't lather as much as I expected, this wasn't a issue for me. It still provided a thorough and gentle cleanse, washing off easily without leaving any residue behind. It left my skin feeling fresh and hydrated, which is what I look for in a body wash.

Overall, I highly recommend the Aveeno Calm + Restore Body Wash to anyone with sensitive skin looking for a gentle and effective cleansing option.
