Mixed review on this SPF moisturizer

My daughter tried this our for 2 weeks and had some mixed reviews about the product.
It does squeeze like a thick paste vs a cream. It did take some effort to spread evenly throughout. As a heads up it does have a pink hue to it to start which becomes white. As it is like a sunscreen it does stay on a bit like sunscreen giving you a white film on your face. Not like traditional creams that disappear. It doesn’t smell like sunblock and smells really fresh. Don’t know if I would call it unscented but was nice nonetheless. Calming and restoring, we were not sure what it referred to as my daughter had the same energy as she always does and restored nothing really. But with that all said they do love Aveeno products so will continue to use.

Product seems good, but the feeling is not

I need a good spf after entering my 30s and neglecting it most of my 20s. This product seems like it would provide good coverage from the sun, and it smells lovely. The problem for me, is I don't like how it feels on my skin. The fact that it is a mineral Sunscreen makes it heavier in my opinion, and it feels thick and gunky on my face. If you're used to heavier sunscreens or face creams, you could give this one a try. The price is great and the packaging is sturdy so it is easily portable in your purse or beach bag. The ingredients did not irritate my skin at all, which was great. It did continue to feel thick and sticky while wearing it, so it would likely not work well as a primer with foundation products. Sadly I wouldn't purchase this one again.

Great as a stand alone product

I liked the fact that it's both a moisturizer and an SPF. However, when applying it after my beauty routine, I notice that it pills on my face. For me, it is only effective if used without any prior products on my face.

Not my favourite SPF option.

I gave this a try for a few days and really wanted to like it. I am currently treating a dermatitis on my face, so my skin easily flares up and is sensitive. I do think it possibly made my dermatitis worse, even though I avoided directly applying it to the affected areas. I also didn’t like the way this sat on top of my skin, and the amount that you would need to use to properly give sun protection leave an extreme white cast on your face.

Not the formula for me

As a big Aveeno fan and avid user, I had high hopes for Aveeno® Calm + Restore Daily Face Moisturizer Mineral SPF 30, but unfortunately, it didn't work the best for my skin. Despite it being a hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic daily face moisturizer, it irritated my skin, I wanted to wash it off fairly soon after applying each time. I experienced breakouts. It is very lightweight and does blend in very nicely. While it may suit others, my personal experience leaves me seeking an alternative formula. I received this product courtesy of Butterly.

Sticky

While it goes on smooth, evens skin tone, protects from sun damage, and has a pleasant light scent, it stays sticky for quite some time. For that reason alone I probably wouldn't purchase it

Great summer cream!

I love all things Aveeno, as a family with eczema and reactive skin this is a brand we trust. I was very excited to try this out. Normally I find zinc very thick and greasy but not in this cream. While it felt thick to touch it went on smooth and silky. I also liked that it had a light tint to it, but didn’t look caked on when applied and gave a light coverage. It felt really nice on the skin and absorbed quickly. Unfortunately for me it did react on my face, which I think is the mineral aspect. I will try again and see if it still reacts. Regardless this would be an excellent summer cream and depending on your needs all year around since it moisturizes too.

Good quality

I had been using this moisturizer for a week and my skin feels really smooth.
But what i didn’t like about this product it’s that it feels so greasy when you apply also it left me with a white face haha 😂

Not Moisturizing Enough for Dry Skin

I usually love Aveeno products - they have been a staple in my skin care routine for 20 plus years. I have very dry skin, and this moisturizer unfortunately does not work well with my skin (especially in the winter). It feels tacky and pills on my skin and my skin felt tight throughout the day. I think it would work so much better on oily or normal skin types.
