Aveeno Calm and Restore

I like this product because of the SPF 30 protection and the fact that it is tinted to match my skin tone. It feels a little bit like sunscreen when I apply it, but after that my skin feels nice and not greasy. I wear it under my regular makeup and I think it works very well!

Aveeno Calm + Restore

This moisturizer is nice and soothing, and it softens the skin. It is an excellent sunscreen, but it is not a moisturizer and does not moisturize the face well. It is good for all skin tones and is lightweight on the skin making it not too thick. Overall, the product is good and has a great tint to it.

Aveeno Calm & Restore Daily Mositurizer

100% mineral based sunscreen. It blends so well and does not leave a white cast. My skin looks radiant and even toned. It absorbs and blends so well! Great sun protection and my skin feels so soft. Very soothing ingredients, such as oats. Recommended by Dermatologist. Perfect product to travel with this coming Sumner.

Broke Out Like Crazy + White Cast

I wanted to love this product, I really did, but I just couldn’t. I used it on my face (since it’s a facial moisturizer) and I broke out like crazy! Nothing else in my routine changed during this time, so it was very clear that the culprit was this product. I’m now dealing with some acne scars that I got from the break outs. What is shocking is that I’ve used products with colloidal oatmeal before and had quite good results (never broke me out.) This was also not just purging acne. I’m well aware that your skin can experience a period of purging whilst adjusting to a new product, but I’ve experienced purging many times before (during my quest to find the skincare routine that works best for me), and this was NOT purging. This was full-out acne brought on by this product. I also don’t have sensitive skin! I have extremely dry skin, but not sensitive, so again, I was really shocked by this outcome!

The other thing I really didn’t like, was that the product had a SIGNIFICANT white cast (which for anyone who doesn’t know the term, it’s when sunscreen appears white on the skin and doesn’t blend well with your skin colour.) I know this is a more commonly experienced problem for people that have darker skin, but I have a light olive complexion. This product should have had NO issue blending into my skin if it was able to do what it claims. Unfortunately, this product simply does not blend well to match skin tone (at least in my own experience.) I would have to rub it in for five minutes to get most of that white cast to go away, but even after all that, there was CLEARLY still white cast on my face. I honestly am really disappointed with this product; I wouldn’t recommend it to others and I won’t be using it again—at least not on my face. I’ve tried it on my body and it didn’t give me any body acne, it does however, maintain that white cast (so if you don’t like it when sunscreen does that, then stay away from this product.) For me though, I don’t mind this white cast too much if it’s on my body, since it ends up just looking like regular old sunscreen.

I love Aveeno products but for the first time I have to say it was a miss. My skin did not absorb the product well so I was just left with white cast all over my face to the point where someone pointed it out. I know it’s because of the Mineral SPF but unfortunately with having a more tan complexion it’s way too noticeable.

Aveeno - Mixed Feelings

I usually love Aveeno but this particular product while calming was a bit too powdery white and sticky on my face than I prefer. While I had no negative effects when using it I also did not enjoy the texture or look of it on my skin.

Wasn't what I expected

I was hoping for a more creamy texture but it has more of a liquid texture that didn't seem to do much for my skin. It didn't blend in evenly on my darker skin tone.

Great product

I wanted to use this product for a while to see the effects it has and I must say that this does not disappoint. I love knowing that my face is not only protected from the harsh rays of the sun, but that it's getting moisturized at the same time. The only downfall of this product is that it made my face feel sticky. Other than that I love this product!

OK product for sun protection

Aveeno Calm + Restore Daily Moisturizer with Mineral SPF 30 is a decent option. The tint provides subtle coverage with minimal white cast, but the faint scent isn't my favourite. It is non-greasy and not too runny. It doesn't visibly even out my skin tone. (Butterly offered this product for my honest review.)
