Good sunscreen but not for dark skin

This is a great option for people who have lighter skin. I have combination skin and my shade is usually medium/tan so this leaves looking oily and ashy. I would only recommend this if you have dry skin and are a lighter shade.

A little too heavy for me

Tried on the new Aveeno calm and restore moisturizer and even though it does moisturize, it's a bit too heavy on my skin. Being a woman of colour, the product does not completely absorb into my skin leaving a whitish tinge (a problem I face with most heavy sunscreens unfortunately). However, it does moisturize. I feel it may work better on women with lighter skin.

Not my favourite

For as low as the spf is I wouldn’t recommend you have to reapply every few hours and I don’t like the way it applies to my skin complex. I’m combination skin so take that as you will. The quality is quite nice it’s lightweight I just don’t like the way it pairs with my other products. Or the way the tiny matches my skin tone.

Average Product

While the product works, it’s not my go-to option. It leaves residue on my face that I’ve accidentally rubbed into my eye as a result, and if I wipe my face with a cloth, the tan residue is apparent. While this product hasn’t irritated my skin, there are other options that work better for me.

Felt Heavy on the Skin

I really wanted to like this product but I did not like the way that it felt on my skin. It felt heavy and cakey. I don't see myself using this daily. My makeup also did not sit right over this product.

Left a white cast

Unsure if I just didn't use this product correctly but every time I tried it left a white hue to my skin. Was not able to continue using it as that's not a fun time.

Not as good as I expected

I've used Aveeno many times in the past and have always been pleased with the products, especially their sunscreens. Unfortunately, this particular product didn't live up to the rest. It went on very patchy and took a long time (even for a mineral-based sunscreen) to absorb. I would have liked a little more moisture but this version probably wouldn't be too heavy for the summer months.

Nice Moisturizer, just not for me

I enjoyed the feel of the moisturizer, and it protects your skin as stated.
It is very light and not heavy which is nice, it is just not for me.
I do not feel like the moisturizer lasts as long as my other daily moisturizers do.

Not bad for mineral sunscreen

I liked that it had no odour, no skin reactions, and had a slight tint to combat the zinc oxide look. However it feels thick on my face and was hard to get off using a gentle cleanset like cetaphil.

Good but not great!

Thanks Butterly & Aveeno for the opportunity to try this product for free. I found this to be a basic moisturizer. It did not absorb into my skin very well, and I felt like I needed to use a lot. I don’t know if I would buy this.
