Smoother, softer, sun-protected skin!

I've been dreaming of the warm summer (and wishing I could chase away the winter blues) ever since I was sent the "Aveeno Calm + Restore Daily Face Moisturizer Mineral SPF 30" from Butterly for free in exchange for my honest review.

I've been using this moisturizer daily for the past couple of weeks, because I wanted to give it a good try before sharing my thoughts... I found that it applied smoothly on my face and also felt lightweight, non-greasy and soothing on my skin. My skin still felt nourished, moisturized and soft to the touch even hours later, so it's definitely long lasting. It contains pure Colloidal Oatmeal so it's very gentle on the skin. It's also hypoallergenic and doesn't clog or cause breakouts, so it's perfect for anyone with sensitive skin.

Unfortunately, it didn't blend in to my medium-tone brown skin quite as well as I had hoped... but it did blend in better than a few other moisturizers with SPF that I've used in the past. Although, it does work well when applied underneath makeup, since it effectively evens skin tone. I feel that it does great job protecting my skin from the harmful effects of the sun, since it contains 100% mineral actives for broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection. I also like the fact that this product comes in a tube made with 40% Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic.

Given my overall positive experience of this product as an all-day moisturizer with mineral SPF, I will continue to use it to maintain smoother, softer and protected skin.

This is a lovely hydrating light everyday moisturizing sunscreen combo .. it makes your mornings quick to get ready. Leaves your skin with a nice glow

for sensitive skin

I wasn't sure I was going to like this but I like how it feels on my skin. You can't even tell that it's on actually. Looking forward to beach days with this.

Overall the cream was quite nice, I’ve been looking for a good moisturizer with SPF- the fact that it is tinted is a huge bonus! However, I do wish the tint were stronger - it seems like you would need a lot of product to get that even coverage, and the spf makes it harder to spread because it acts a bit like your average mineral sunscreen.

Great for out the door no makeup days.

The Aveemo Calm and restore spf moisturizer has a lot of good benefits. I like the scent, it goes on really nice and left my skin feeling nicely moisturized.

For myself, I really like the product for those no make up days where you just need a touch of something. I had a harder time adding makeup overtop and noticed it was harder to blend, but this is more of a standalone product for my skin type.
Great to have in the bag for those days where you want sun protection and just a hint of color.

The duality 🥰

I have been a fan of Aveeno products since I got here in Canada, this is my go to product because I don't want to think too much if it's harsh to my skin or not. Got this free and I tried asap.
I love that it's not sticky when I am always looking for the product. However, I noticed that it left some white cast. I didn't edit my pictures so you can see some bumps and white cast haha i just blend it more and be careful if you want to re-apply. Love that its dual purpose🥰

Great Product!

This is a great product.
Unscented, gentle, not greasy, and blends into skin well.

It's always nice to find a facial product that is uncented and gentle. This one fits the bill. There is no scent to the product, and the formula feels creamy and nourishing. To get the product to blend well use a good amount because it will dry quickly, but keep in mind that a little also goes a long way. Using enough product will also help with blending it into the skin. It dries quickly, so if you don't use enough you won't get it to effectively cover the area and it will dry too quickly to get it to properly blend in - especially for darker skin tones.
Despite how creamy the product is, it's not greasy at all! It leaves a nice matte finish which should work well for everyone. If you want a more dewy look, you can use makeup products that add that bit of shine, but if you want a matte look, you don't have to combat a base that has a sheen.


The only drawback that I have is that it may not blend well with darker skin tones. My skin is mid range and it blended well into the back of my hand, but on my face I noticed the slightest white cast. This will be more noticable on darker skin tones. It's less a fault of the product though and just what comes with the territory for a mineral based SPF.

I would definitely recommend this product to family and friends, but would encourage those with a darker skin tone to try it out first before committing to the purchase.

I loved using this product before going on walks during this winter as it kept my face moisturized from drying from the cold and protected from the sun. It’s light, non greasy and lasts a full day leaving your skin looking healthy.

Nice SPF moisturizer!

I received the Aveeno Calm + Restore Daily Moisturizer with Mineral SPF 30 for free in return for my honest review. I found that this moisturizer didn't go on quite like others I have tried, it didn't spread out easily -- basically wherever it first landed on my face, that's where it stayed -- but it definitely absorbed quickly, and it really left my skin feeling soft, refreshed and moisturized. Perhaps the added SPF/sunscreen aspect of it caused this difference, but it didn't stop me from using it, just made me adjust how I applied the product. I really liked how this product made my skin feel afterwards and it was nice knowing that I had SPF 30 protection.
