I tried Aveeno Calm + Restore Gel Moisturizer

I was sent this for free. At first I had a hard time with the pump on the bottle, I thought I broke it. After 5 mins of struggling, I finally got the pump to work. Both me and my sister tried out this product. We both thought that it went on nicely, the gel was smooth and covered the area quickly. It’s not like other moisturizers that you need to rub in a bit. My sister has a bit of eczema and she had no issue with burning or stinging. I wasn’t a huge fan of how it felt after I put my clothes on because it left me kinda clammy. Overall I would still recommend it.

Cool and calming

The aveeno calm and restore daily gel moisturizer is great if you are prone to flare-ups during the summer heat. It's cool and lightweight, as well as being calming on your irritated skin.

Fait un bien fou

J'avais les mains très sèches depuis quelques semaine. J'ai commencé à utiliser la crème il y a 5 jours et je vois déjà une nette amélioration. Je ne suis jamais déçu de la part de Aveeno. Certain pourrait ne pas aimer qu'il n'y a pas d'odeur avec cette crème, mais quand on a les mains très sèche, le sans parfum est vraiment mieux. Je le recommande totalement.

A gel that is hydrating!

Thanks to @thisisbutterly and @aveenoca I received this Aveeno Calm + Restore Daily Gel Moisturizer for free. It is a fragrance free lightweight gel moisturizer for sensitive, dry skin. I was happy to test this out because two of my children have sensitive skin and I typically like to use fragrance free products for them. I wasn’t sure how hydrating this would be for them since it is a gel. I put this on their arms and legs after bathing and it soaked in great and in less time than thicker moisturizers. Later that evening their skin felt soft and not sticky. I used it for myself on my hands and arms/elbows. At first it felt like it might be greasy on my hands but once it dried it wasn’t at all. I will definitely continue to use this for my kids. It is super hydrating and gentle for them. I don’t think I will use it as often for myself because I like fragrance in my lotion but it’s perfect if you don’t. This will join the kids Aveeno 2in1 shampoo and their bath bubbles!

The Product That Sold Me On Gel Moisturizers

I'm quite sure that this is my first experience with ANY Gel Moisturizer and I'll admit, I love it! Before trying the Aveeno Calm and Restore Lightweight Gel Moisturizer, I was quite attached to my usual, thicker, body lotion. However, as soon as I tried this product for the first time, I felt a difference; I was excited to keep using it.

It doesn't feel so thick that it's clogging your pores and it seems to be absorbed by your skin nearly instantly. It feels so nice as you apply it so I was curious as to how long my skin would have that quenched feeling. I had applied it after my nighttime shower, and I woke up the next morning to my skin feeling soft and hydrated. This feeling lasted until my next shower, so the claim of offering 48 hour hydration is true!

The fact that they have a fragrance-free option is always a bonus for me, as I sometimes have bad reactions to products with strong scents. I usually don't like sounding too "enthusiastic" in my reviews but I really enjoy using this product. I look forward to continue using it, especially with the Summer weather approaching when lightweight products are even more beneficial.

Super moisturizing

I tried the Aveeno Calm + Restore Daily Gel Moisturizer and was pleasantly surprised. The gel was very light and non-greasy, but still did its job effectively! It left no annoying icky feeling afterwards either, so that's a plus. My sensitive skin definitely loved it and wanted more. I really like the fact that this moisturizer is scent free, where many products are way too overwhelming with scents, this one just fits the bill! Glad I received the chance to try this product. #gotitfree #butterly

It was so soft and not greasy

I like to use this one, because it was so soft and creamy not greasy, so I would buy again this product. Also it helps to reduce my itching hands and eczema.

Aveeno Daily Gel Moisturizer

Lovely moisturizer with a nice texture and consistency. It soothed my dry skin and made it feel less tight. I have sensitive reactive skin at times and had zero issues with this product.
I would definitely recommend!

Scent-free!

I used this lotion on my son this morning. He often complains that his skin is itchy. It often isn't, but his anxiety makes him feel itchy. I have a lotion I have been using on him but he told me this morning he doesn't want to use it anymore because he doesn't like the smell. I showed him this and he agreed it has no smell. I put it on him. He said it felt a bit cold, but seemed to immediately feel better. I liked that the lotion had a very light texture and wasn't overly greasy. We will definitely continue to use this!
