No Bumps

I suffer from eczema in the dryer weather and using this everyday on my arms and legs has significantly reduced the amount of bumps i have from flare ups. Very light weight as well and not heavy or greasy

I am so happy I got to try this. I've used this so many times on many different things. I get excema patches & regular dry skin so often and just a little bit goes a long way. Kiddo was getting red, itchy patches on his hand from crappy hand soap, applied to his hands 1 time and it helped so much within hours.

Hydrating

As I got older I started to get dry patches on my face and I would have to apply moisturizer frequently. When I used this I noticed I didn’t have to reapply until much later! Kept my skin feeling really soft. A little goes a long way!

Really great balm that really leaves skin hydrated

I was pleasantly surprised with this Aveeno Calm + Restore Skin Therapy Balm. I used this on some irritated skin to see if it would make a difference. I was shocked, a lot of balms and lotions claim to hydrate for 24 hours but this one really does. The skin I used it on was truly moisturized even a full day later and the redness seemed to be slightly reduced too. I would be excited to try this when I have an eczema flair up to see how it helps with that. The one thing I would say is that the balm does not really rub in. I spent a full 5 minutes trying to rub it in and it did not do so, which can be annoying especially if the area you are using it on is covered by clothes. I appreciate that this balm is also fragrance-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free, dye-free, steroid-free and alcohol-free. I would certainly consider getting this product again if it weren't for the price.

Soothing for minor wounds

AVEENO® Calm+Restore Skin Therapy Balm is technically marketed for mild skin irritation like ezcema, poison ivy, etc. However I used it on some arm scratches (from my cat) and it worked well. I applied a small amount on the fresh cut (literally happened a few minutes before I applied) and it instantly soothed the irritation. It also healed the cut faster than if I hadn't applied any product - I can't even see the scratch anymore a week later! I'm definitely keeping this in my work bag (I do field work where we come across poison ivy daily) for all of next summer. Do I think this is a must-have? No, but if you find that you have skin irritations that regular lotion can't fix, then you should try this product. Personally, I think this is geared more towards people with ezcema or extremely dry skin that everyday lotion can't hydrate enough. Would I buy this product with my own money? Probably only if I was experiencing issues like ezcema or poison ivy. I find that normal lotion is good enough for my daily use. I really appreciate getting this product so I can keep it for specific situations, but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it.

I wanted to love it but sadly I got a reaction

I was using this on my dry & irritated lips, hoping it would act as a soothing balm but instead it made it even worse and I had to stop using it. I am not sure what ingredient could have caused this irritation as I do not really see anything in the product that is overly irritating.

However my mom used it on her arms after getting irritated during gardening and it soothes her skin a little, she said it was less itchy after a few minutes.

Amazing for sensitive skin!

Having eczema and a son with eczema I am always on the lookout for products that work. I love that this is an option that does. It use hydrocortisone, but really got results on my sons eczema patches.
