AVERAGE FACIAL CLEANSER, FOR AVERAGE PRICE RANGE

The aveeno active naturals collection "clear complexion foaming cleanser for acne-prone skin" was a good cleanser for adult skin with occassional break outs.

It does contain salicyclic acid which is good in clearing up and preventing acne and break outs.

The cleanser lasted a very long time, I used only at night as I found it too harsh and drying to be used day and night. Once a day for a thorough clean was a good starting point.

I did notice a tingle, once again I am relating this to the salicyclic acid within which works and is a little more stronger on the face to battle break outs. I didn't notice a clear up of the skin, but then again I did not notice new break outs....so I am considering it average.

I did not like the scent...one thing that bothered me.....

Average price for an average product in this mid range product range.

This is your average facial cleanser - gets the job done, but I don't feel there's any additional benefits

The con isn't really a con, but for me, I prefer a cleanser that has an additional use / selling point (ie: all natural, removes makeup, also exfoliates, etc.)

It has okay quality and effectiveness however it tends to make my face feel very slippery afterwards. I don't care of the feeling of it.

I was having a few minor breakouts that were really bothering me especially in the chin and forehead area, but I wanted a gentle product for my sensitive skin, something that wouldn't worsen the blemishes. I decided to go with the Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser. The label says it is meant for acne prone skin and contains salicylic acid and moisture-rich soy extracts and promises clear, even looking skin. It is mainly meant for those with dry skin, which I tend to have in the winter months, which is when I tried this.

I've used this on a daily basis for almost a month and a half. The blemishes did seem to get better, but unfortunately, it did not prevent them from returning. The foam cleanser is extremely light and easy to wash your face with and I used two pumps at a time to wash my entire face. It washes off very easily from the skin and doesn't leave any residue and I like the fresh scent and the glow it gives to the skin. It does give a radiant glow.

However, although it says to work for dry skin, I did not find this to be true for myself. After a few minutes of washing my face, I would feel my skin tightening, sometimes unbearably and my forehead and cheek area just kept getting drier. Therefore, I don't think it is as moisturizing as they advertised. The pump also gets stuck and you have to keep pressing it to make it pop out again.

I didn't give this an entirely negative rating simply because I did like the glow it gave to my skin, but not the dryness. You just need to moisturize well after using it. This might work wonders for others, but to me it will be an average face wash.
