The thicker the better

I found this cream so thick and nourishing. Loved that it was fragrance free! With the triple oat complex I felt it really made a big difference on my cracked knees. My feet are also a lot smoother in just a couple weeks time. I also love that my hands don’t get greasy after applying it.

Not made for me

This product had a good smell and a great texture at first view. Unfortunately it was not a game changer for me. I did not see incredible results on my cracked or very dry skin areas. I would not re-buy this product.

J'ai reçu de la part de Chickadvisor le baume pour soin de la peau craquelée d'Aveeno afin d'en faire l'essai. Il n'y a pas de doute, après un dur hiver, ma peau avait besoin d'un bon soin hydratant et c'est ce que ce baume lui a donné! D'abord, la texture est très agréable et ne laisse pas de filtre graisseux sur la peau. Aussi le contenant de 312 grammes est un bon format pour hydrater toute les parties du corps en ayant besoin. Ma peau reste douce pendant toute la journée!

This product actually works!!!

This month, I had the opportunity to test the Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief CICA Balm and Ointment. I wanted to get a variety of opinions so I had my husband and three children try out the products as well.

When I first used the Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief CICA Balm I found its consistency to be very thick however when applying it was very easy to rub into my skin. During the first few days I didn’t find that I stayed moisturized any longer than I did with other lotions I have previously used. However with continued use I started to really notice how much softer my skin was becoming, my softer skin was very noticeable. Amazing! My husband and one of my daughters found the products reminded them of Vaseline (petroleum jelly). Another felt it was oily. My littlest one has the driest skin and I found it worked well for her.

One of my girls who plays competitive sports mentioned how nice her skin felt one evening at her practice. It was amazing because she had applied the balm in the morning!

I recommend the Balm! It’s easy to apply, effective and has no smell. My suggestion would be to offer the Balm in a smaller tube if possible, for individuals that would like to take it on the go.

Amazing for what it does

As someone whose skin has just gone through a long, dry, winter I was so glad to be sent this product. I have some severely dry skin and that’s what this product is suitable for.

The product is very moisturizing but the expense of that is that it applies greasy and will stay that way for hours. I applied it at night and my skin was moisturized but still a little tacky/greasy the next morning.

Would recommend for the severely dry skin crowd.

Smooth skin

I was lucky to get picked to try the Aveeno Cracked Skin CIca balm in exchange for my opinion. I have really dry cracked skin on my hands from constant hand washing and dishwashing so I was really excited to try these products. I found that after only a couple uses my hands looked smoother and less dry. The scent was very light which was barely noticeable. My hands look like they have lost 10 years. Way smoother and softer as well. Will definitely keep using this product daily. #gotitfree

Soothing balm

I was given this to try for free through the product review club. I have mild psoriasis that flares up in the dry winter months. When I received this to try the weather was warming up so it wasn't as bad as a few months ago. However, I still noticed a difference on my psoriasis. It wasn't as scaly and red as it usually is and some patches even started to fade a bit. The balm is thick, which I like but it isn't really greasy. I usually apply something like this at night after my shower and I didn't notice any residue on my sheets. It doesn't have any added fragrance but it had a very light smell that I can't quite describe but it wasn't overwhelming and wasn't noticeable once applied.

This also works well on heels that are cracked or cracking, but I would definitely recommend socks or slippers if you aren't getting into bed right away as it can make your feel slippery.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone with seriously dry or cracking skin.

Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief CICA Balm - Really Works!

I have some areas of my skin that are very dry and cracked and I have tried so many products over time. This product felt great and is working! Yes it is a little "greasy" but that is just helps it work better, and it is less greasy than SO many others out there. There is such little scent, a very mild oat scent, so for those who are sensitive to perfumes, no fear here. This does not bother my sensitive skin in any way!

The only slight negative is the price, which is pretty steep. This price though is comparable to other such heavy duty balms.

I have always been a fan of a lot of Aveeno products and this one is one of my new favourites! I am going to have this in my skin care routine, all throughout the year!

Just what I needed!

I was happily surprised to see the size of my tub of Cracked Skin Relief Balm and excited to start using it. I immediately applied way too much to my hands and did my best to distribute the excess to my elbows/knees and anywhere else my skin is dry. A little goes a long way, that's for sure! My hands and other body parts felt smooth and moisturized. I am doing an ongoing comparison as well, applying Cracked Skin Relief to one foot and my regular peppermint foot lotion to the other after I shower. Although the Cracked Skin Relief Balm does not offer the cooling feeling of the peppermint lotion, it does keep my feet moisturized for longer and reduces the appearance of the cracks on my heels.

Relief from Cracked Skin that Works

I received a large (312g) jar of AVEENO Cracked Skin Relief CICA Balm last week. It was put to use immediately to help my hands recover from a particularly difficult, dry winter. The balm looked like it would be very greasy but I was surprised to find that, while it felt like grease as it was applied, within a minute, it had been absorbed, leaving no sticky residue. I am applying it three times/day. At night, it was applied and then cotton gloves worn overnight. While my skin is still in recovery mode, AVEENO Cracked Skin Relief CICA Balm has had a very positive impact in that recovery. I am pleased it comes in a large jar as it will take a lot of balm to get my hands ready to meet spring.
The one problem encountered is that I had a great deal of difficulty getting access to the balm as the foil liner didn't come away from the jar easily. I had to use a sharp knife to get the process started.
I will be using this product routinely now.
