Good Overall Product

Received a few days ago as part of the PRC. Great texture - and large jar make it a good go to all over body cream. My main problem area is my hands, so I prefer the ointment version of this product. This balm is great though - easier to apply than my regular aveeno lotion as it is thicker. Would need to use for longer though to determine how it stacks up against other aveeno everyday moisturizers!

Almost perfect

This product has it all : effectiveness,
non-greasy, good smell, lasts all day... but... it takes quite a lot of it (hard to apply, to lather) to hydrate your body. As if it penetrates your skin too fast or something like that.

Great moisturizer

I just tried Aveeno's Cracked Skin Relief Cica balm and the first thing I noticed when I opened the container was that there really is no fragrance! Yay!! The cream is fairly thick and a little goes a very long way, don't put a lot on at any given time. The 'cica' formulation is great in that it really helps to moisturize your skin, you will notice a difference almost right away. However, the downside to the 'cica' formulation is that it kind of makes your skin feel greasy for about 5 minutes after use. The more you put on, the longer your skin will feel greasy. For me the product was a 'love it' for the moisturizing and the paraben-free aspects, but a 'don't love so much' with the greasy. Using small amounts definitely helps. #gotitfree

Wonderful

So this cream is awesome. The fact that it’s odorless means I can share with my husband who hates girly smelling creams. Your skin absorbs this cream really fast and it doesn’t leave a greasy feeling. It is really effective on hands and elbows which are my problem areas. My husband really liked it too and will probably steel this from me.

Balm that moisturizes my dry and cracked skin, no more itch!

I was lucky to try the Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief CICA balm as part of Chickadvisor Product Club. I have used another eczema lotion in the past to help with my dry itchy skin and cracked heels & hands (which is worse in the winter time) and I don't like that the Aveeno balm is in a container rather than in a pump bottle - the balm gets in my nails if I need to scoop it in a container, so it makes it more difficult to apply. However, I would say the creamy CICA balm works as good as my existing eczema lotion - a little goes a long way and it moisturizes my dry skin and cracked heels all day where I don't don't see any dry spots/flakiness and I don't get any itchiness due to the dryness. Overall, I would recommend this balm to friends and family, if they are okay with a container rather than a pump bottle.

Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief Balm

Got it Free. I was lucky to be chosen to try this product out. I actually love it that it actually works and makes my hands/feet feel whole again. The whole winter was harsh and cracked. i Used it on the daily and after just a few days my skin felt renewed, refreshed and moisturized.
The only thing that i am not a fan of is the feel of the balm itself as it feels very greasy.. but once i lather it on and feel it really penetrating my skin and giving life back to my skin that i really am happy to have tested this.
i apply a good amount right before going to bed and wow.. what a nice feeling it is to wake up and not look at my hands and think i aged overnight!

Aveeno a brand you can trust

Love the aveeno brand. I was not a huge fan of this product for daily use. I will definitely use it on my hands and feet but not anywhere else on my body. I felt it was slightly greasy and didnt absorb quickly. Great for cracked feet though

Life saver for winter cracked skin

The Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief Cica Balm is defnitely a life saver to restore your cracked skin after the cold winter months.
I used this lotion for about a week and my legs are so soft now; I suffered all winter from very dry and peeling skin, but this balm was able to restore my skin elasticity within days.
The smell is pretty neutral, butter like.
The texture is very thick and rich, a bit hard to spread uniformly. It takes a bit longer to dry up so I usually apply it right after the shower so I have time to let it dry completely while I blow dry my hair.
The quantity is enough for at least 2-3 months from what I'm using it right now. It would be awesome to use it all winter and then pass to a lighter lotion for the summer months.

I would make it part of my daily care routine

The product has a texture like petroleum jelly and goes on like one..I used it before bed on my feet as it was too thick and greasy to apply anywhere else...I put on cotton socks and in the morning, my feet felt soft and moisturized. I would also use this before swimming..chlorine really dries my skin out, I hate always having to reapply lotion..I think this would give a great protective layer like baby oil to keep the chlorine from drying out my skin. I also tried a bit on my baby's legs where his excema is..really kept it from flaring up.

I received this as part of the sample group so I can’t answer to the value as I don’t know what it cost.
I’ll start off by saying I’m an Aveeno fan on their usual moisturizers. This is really rich and thick which is what you’re looking for to cure cracked skin. I personally didn’t find a difference after applying to elbows or heels however I might suggest to anyone to put socks or gloves on after applying this. This cream irritated my eczema at night.
