Bye bye dry skin!

I am impressed. I'm glad I got the chance to try Aveeno Cracked skin relief because it works amazing. Instantly my skin feels hydrated giving it a smooth silky feeling. A little goes a long way. Asking it an excellent value. There is absolutely zero scent and it also worked really well on my daughters eczema. I will definitely be finishing the whole tub and I will be buying it again next winter!

Ma fille fais beaucoup d eczéma aux main et nous avons essayer plusieurs produit et ma puce de 8 ans se plaignait de picottement.. mais avec celui la aucun et elle a de belle main douce .. surtout entre les doigts normalement très dur à faire revenir mais ses plaque d eczéma son partie pour l instant.

Slow to absorb, but works well

This moisturizer has kind of a strong medicinal smell, a bit like those clinical eczema creams, with a hint of oat. It’s fragrance-free, so there’s nothing to cover up that smell, which I find a bit unpleasant. If you’re sensitive to fragrances you’ll appreciate that this doesn’t have a strong smell, just a mild clinical one. I have a really sensitive nose, so I'm probably smelling it way stronger than a normal person. Since I apply cream before sleeping, I prefer a nice, gentle fragrance, this one is just a bit of a stinky smell.

In terms of how effective this is, I found that on dry and cracked skin it was pretty effective. For severe cases, like my partner's (possible skin condition, very dry and cracked) it wasn’t enough to completely cure the dry skin, but for mine, it did the trick. It also reduced the cracked skin (even of extremely dry skin) and made skin softer without irritating or hurting it. It was as good as the other Aveeno cream I tried, but this one I didn't dislike its texture as much! It’s also hypoallergenic so if you have sensitive skin it should be easy to use without any problems.

For texture, the cream is quite thick, but it spreads very easily. One problem I had was that the cream takes a long time to really rub into the skin. I found that it would take ten or fifteen minutes before I would feel like my hands weren’t greasy from the balm. Since I use my creams at night, this wasn't an issue, but if you apply all day, I can see it being irritating.

Overall, This is a good cream for dire cracked skin, but it will take time to fix it completely. It's a great cream for those with dry, cracked skin and especially or skin conditions that can't be irritated! It takes a long time to absorb and has a stinky smell, but works well to repair and soften skin, without added fragrance.

Pros:
+ Works pretty well on dry skin that has a condition.
+ Works really well on regular dry skin.
+ No fragrance, so doesn't irritate sore, cracked skin.
+ Big tub.

Cons:
- Smell is stinky and quite medicinal.
- Takes a long time to absorb.

Recommended: Yes, if you need a heavy duty cream that doesn't irritate, but if you apply multiple times be aware of the slow absorb rate.

Winter skin must have!

I live in Northern BC where it tends to be cold and dry 60% of the year. I play sports and do a lot of activities that aren’t so great on the skin! My legs and feet especially, get really dry and flaky. I found that the Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief CICA balm was a thicker consistency than a normal lotion so it seemed to sink into my skin better. I also used it on my feet by itself, and with the Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief Ointment. Both ways worked great even though my feet are a mess! great on hands and feet!

I am loving this product! The smell is minimal, and the cream is nice and thick. I love that is absorbed within a few minutes, and the skin stayed hydrated for hours. I felt my feet and legs stayed soft even after 48 hours.

Real relief

I really liked this balm. It moisturized my dry skin and kept it hydrated until I washed it off. It was the perfect consistency for me. I like a thicker cream. It absorbs fast and is non-irritating. It gave my dry skin real relief. The scent was not too strong either so I would buy this in the future.

I have hobbit feet

Ok - I need to be honest about this review...I have the feet of a hobbit... Ugly - hairy and so fuggly I am afraid to show them in public... When this parcel arrived in the mail and I opened it up I was over the moon.. Thinking to myself YES! I will have sexy beach feet in no time.. I used the product for a week.. thinking hmm is this gonna work.. I am blown away with how nice my feet look... I no longer have hobbit feet..

Up to 48 hours of dry skin relief!

I really loved this balm! I have super dry hands from using hand sanitizers but this balm gives me lasting relief! It's not super greasy at all, it just works. It's made with triple oat complex, ehich sounds healthy enough! Aveeno has always been a good company with quality ingredients though so there's no surprise that this product worked so well! I used it on my feet, knees, elbows and hands. I found it was too thick for anywheres else on me! It's really alot of product too! Thanks chickadvisor and aveeno for this complimentary product to try out!

Great product

I used this on my dry heels after the winter. It worked great. My heels are soft and less achy. It doesn’t leave a greasy feeling. Very easy to apply.

Wow this balm is amazing! It is super rich and thick - a little goes a long way. Incredibly hydrating, I love putting it on before bed so it has a chance to soak in overnight. Will definitely buy again! #gotitfree
