Saying Goodbye to Cracked Skin

First, let me qualify this review by saying that I'm a HUGE fan of Aveeno's Cracked Skin Repair product line. Thanks to ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club, I have had the opportunity to try and provide an independent review of two products from this line: the CICA Balm and the CICA Ointment. I absolutely love the CICA Balm (see review here) and am very pleased by the results of using the CICA Ointment. The only drawback for me is the silicone applicator tip. It is tricky to use, and takes some getting used to. The applicator tip is intended to help you apply the ointment so that you don't need to get your hands messy. I ended up using my fingers to ensure the ointment covered my rough elbows evenly, and then massaged any leftover ointment onto my hands since I have dry skin. Overnight, the immediate results after the first night of use were awesome. My dry elbows looked and felt softer, and the skin on my hands don't feel as rough or dry. An unintended bonus side effect is that the cuticles on my fingers look fantastic! They are usually dry and ragged, but the ointment seems to have solved that lingering issue. A few more days of using this ointment, my elbows and hands should be looking as fine as my feet (which were rescued by the CICA Balm). The weather is getting nicer and I'm ready for short-sleeves and summer sandals. I would highly recommend the Aveeno Cracked Skin Repair CICA Ointment to anyone looking for an easily portable intensive dry skin therapy, and if you're looking for something that you can keep handy at home, give the CICA Balm a try.

Great product

I received avenno cracked skin relief cica ointment free to sample and review. I love the applicator which allows direct application to a certain area. My hands crack badly in the cold weather conditions and this allows constant ointment to be easily and frequently applied. Perfect size for carrying in my purse so that it is always conveniently available for me. There is no odour or perfumes which I was very happy with. After applying there is not an oily or greasy feel which allows me to use during the day even when at work. Many creams left my pens and keyboard with a film and made it difficult to work. This product worked amazingly well. After one week of applying throughout the day, I no longer had cracked and painful hands. I will definitely be buying this product and I would recommend it to anyone who has dry or cracked skin.

AVEENO skin Releif Cica ointment is Amazing. Having Shea butter and natural addition of Triple Oat complex makes it a complete package. It is fragrance free so I will never get bored of same smell. After using its soft and gentle applicator tip only once I feel great difference in cracked heels..

Targeted Skin Relief for Dry Cracked Skin

I received this product free from Chickadvisor for testing purposes and was amazed at the results! I love the applicator tip on the tube as it allows me to target the dry cracked areas of my skin that need attention such as my elbows and knees. I see immediate results and they last a good day or two! A little goes a long way. There is no smell. I would recommend this product to family and friends.

Yes Please!!

I got chosen to try the Aveeno cracked skin relief CICA ointment for free by ChickAdvisor and my feet are forever grateful, the soles of my feet get very dry and cracked. I apply the ointment on my feet before going to bed and then put socks on, wow, what a difference, my feet are moisturized all day, they look and feel so soft, has no scent. I love that it’s a applicator and I could apply it to my problem areas. So perfect for extreme dryness. Amazing

I definitely recommend it

The Avenoo cracked skin relief CICA it’s amazing. You can fell by the texture of the product that it’s really moisture. It’s like a grassy gel with no fragrance. I use it to make a overnight moisturizing in my cuticles and the result was miraculous. I definitely recommend it.

spot on relief

First of all I want to say my thoughts are my own and I received this product for free to test.
I like this applicator, it is soft tipped, perfect for spots that are sensitive.
this product is perfect for extreme dryness it soothes and helps in an instant it's Fragrance free and Steroid free which is amazing to come by now adays and it's with Shea Butter and Triple Oat Formula.
I used this on my worst areas I couldn't use my hands to rub it in and the applicator did wonderful no pain at all and it instantly started going to work healing the dry skin, it kept moisture for a good 2 almost 3 days before showing signs of bits of dry spots and noticed if you wash it is still on the spot protecting it as it absorbs right in to the spot. amazing stuff I apply every day to my problem areas and they are going away SO AMAZING.

Helped my cracked knuckles

I received this full sized item from Chick Advisor and Aveeno Canada to try. I wasn't really sure what to expect when I first used it because of the consistency. It is sticky and I was worried it would not absorb into my skin. Was I wrong! I put a small amount onto my knuckles that were so dry they were cracking and it spread so nicely. It absorbed fairly quick but has a greasy feeling when you first apply it. It does not have a scent which was nice because I put it on before going to bed.
After a few days of applying this first to my knuckles and the creases around my nose the skin had drastically improved. My knuckles weren't red and dry anymore. I also applied the Aveeno cracked skin balm to my entire hand after applying the ointment to my problem spots. The two of them together were amazing. My hands are so moisturized and they stay that way all day. Even after washing them for the 20th time.
The tube is a good size but could easily fit in your purse to be used on the go. It has a silicone tip that makes dispensing a small amount to use easy and mess free. I could see this product working great on cracked heels and dry feet as well.

Instant relief

Glides on nicely, almost seems like a petroleum jelly. I’ve been suffering from a cold so my nose is really dry and cracked, used it on my nose and even though it went on like petroleum jelly it soaked right into my skin and almost instantly felt soft and it’s like the dryness disappeared. Put some on my feet and same thing, can’t wait to see the long term affects!!

Works like a dream

This product works amazing. It has an easy tip applicator and reaches those hard to get targeted areas. I love the fact it is fragrance free. It soaks into the skin well and hydrated me skin way better then expected.
