Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief CICA Ointment - YAAAAS!

Okay, first let me talk about how much I LOVE the soft applicator tip! This makes it so much easier to get on specific places. I love the soft silky feel of this ointment. This ointment has no fragrance and does not bother my sensitive skin at all!

I have been using this for a week on some bad skin areas and I am already seeing much improvement! I have even been treating my fiancé with it and even he is amazed!


I highly recommend this product for sure. It is magic!

Felt really good on my skin

I received this product free in exchange for my honest opinion.
This was very different for me to use.Because I never used a ointment for anything for dry cracked skin.The one thing I liked about this ,is that you can carry it with you when needed.I used it on my hands since my hands tends to get dry and cracked and noticed quite a difference the next day.My hands felt amazing like smooth again and not ruff.Does take time to get use to really using this product,but it is a good product to buy.

A fancy petroleum jelly product

I’m not too sure if I understand this product. The petroleum jelly texture, with no scent, slowly oozes out of a soft rubber applicator tip as you squeeze the tube, so you do get a nice controlled amount mess free unlike a tub of petroleum jelly. Unfortunately, I don’t see anything else different. I know it contains some good ingredients that regular petroleum jelly doesn’t offer, but I have yet to notice a difference. Maybe I just need to use it longer. Also, my cracked areas are quite large, except lips, so I feel like it’s not practical to use this product (given the size of the product and the nice dainty applicator). But I’m not sure if it’s good for cracked lips. Overall, this is a nice quality product if you have small cracked areas. However, I prefer the balm way more.

Only for the driest of skin

This cream was just too thick for me. I did enjoy putting it on my knuckles and I think that if I had minor dry skin patches on my hands it would like it but as an all over balm it wasn't for me. I also found the little applicator to be gimicky more than anything. Not my favorite.

I would try this product again...

This product is easy to use on specific targeted areas! Easy to use and not much product needed to do its job. Effectiveness, is wonderful. Smell is virtually non existent, and quality is fabulous.

I'm a tad surprised

So first off the packaging; I love it I think Aveeno had been doing great in terms of this tube and some of their other products. This ointments has this sort silicone-y nozzle to make sure you dont squeeze too much out without being hard to squeeze.
The product itself I've been using religiously on one of my toes that seems no matter what it always is really cracked and hard & on a spot on my hand that I cut and as it was healing I was trying to keep the skin soft so hopefully it would heal better. Firstly the product is initially quite greasy feeling but somehow lite at the same time, but after a about 10 minutes the majority of it sinks into the skin and feels pretty good.
Secondly I didn't have a lot of faith considering the amount of products I've tried for my feet. But after about the 3rd day I noticed a change in the way the skin was feeling. This is not an overnight problem solver for really hard cracked areas BUT so far no product has helped this much!

Vu sa texture grasse, j'ai adorer l'avoir sous ce format. l'application locale évite d'avoir toute les mains grasses, surtout au travail. L'hydratation est efficace et calmante.

Works well with cracked hands

Aveeno's Cracked Skin Relief Cica ointment does help with those dry cracks you get on your hands and fee during the winter. The product is pretty much fragrance free, which is amazing! I also really like the idea of the applicator. The applicator allows you to target the ointment to the crack where it will do the most good. The other benefit to the applicator is that it limits how much of the ointment you actually apply. The product, while effective, does leave your skin with a greasy feeling for about 5 minutes after application. If you accidentally put too much ointment on, you really notice that greasy or 'slide-y' feeling; the applicator helps to prevent that. The lack of scent, its ability to provide moisture to my skin, and the applicator are all benefits to this product. The greasy feeling is a drawback. I would still recommend the product if you had really cracked hands though, because it does help. #gotitfree

Ointment that works to moisturize and protect cracked skin!

I was lucky to try the Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief CICA Ointment as part of Chickadvisor Product Club. I have very dry skin & cracked heels and knuckles in winter time - so dry where I get itchiness if the lotion doesn't moisturizes well in those areas. This is the first time where I have used an ointment with a brush, which seems more hygenic to me (where you aren't directly using your fingers to apply the product). I applied the ointment on my cracked heels (I would wear socks after the ointment to seal it in) and knuckles and it did a good job in protecting and I noticed that it is gradually healing those areas over a few days. Overall, I would recommend the ointment for friends who are suffering like me - with cracked skin.

Got it free. I love this oitment! its amazing. I keep it at the office. My fingers right next to my nails always crack and this ointment was a lifesaver. I applied it a few times and really started noticing a big difference. Its practical and doesn't feel greasy or sticky. i would definitely recommend this Aveeno product to anyone who has the same problem with the cracking near the nails. Its truly awesome and really works!
