Great Spot Treatment and perfect for deep cracks

Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief ointment comes in a 48 gram tube containing Shea butter and triple oat complex. It has a silicone applicator tip too get in the deep cracks and is also scent free. This ointment has a thick consistency as well, goes on clear and resembles vasoline like texture. I do wish it was more of a cream consistency as I don't really like the feeling of oily products on my skin but it did absorb nicely. This targeted ointment really helped with the deep cracks on my heels. I have severe cracked skin from my thyroid condition and this has helped them so much.

I can already see a difference within a week of using this product. It is slightly expensive but since I will only use it when my feet are in bad shape (especially the winter time when they are at there worst) Im sure this will last me quite a long time.

Targeted dry skin saver

I've been using Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief Cica Ointment for several days now and found that there are a few pros and cons for this product.

Pros
Very effective lotion that will revitalize extremely dry skin
Convenient applicator to target specific areas and to not overuse too much product
Neutral small, butter like
Perfect size to put in your purse or luggage

Cons
The texture is thick and rich but it takes a long time to absorb
It leaves skin with a greasy layer even after several hours after application

Due to its pros and cons, I'm now using the Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief Cica Ointment only at night. My preferred application is on my hands, neck and very dry skin patch on my face (around my mouth).
It's a very good product and does its job but it's impossible to use it during the day for me.

So happy to have been selected to try this product for free!

I liked the balm better

Although I found the Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief Ointment worked well, I'm not a huge fan of the applicator. I found it was sometimes hard to squeeze out and I ended up rubbing it in with my finger anyways. I would prefer to have it in a jar or bottle. It did seem to work well, especially on hard cracked skin like on my heels.

Came at the perfect time

I received this free from the Product Review Club. This product came at the perfect time. My family and I are constantly washing our hands during this time of year and we are all experiencing very dry hands and feet. The applicator was very interesting as I have never used something with such a direct applicator before. I used it on my heels, cuticles knuckles on myself and my son. We chose these areas as we have eczema and it flares up this time of year.

Works great when used with the balm!

‪Received my product review package for the new Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief ointment yesterday!

My hands are dry and fingertips cracked after a long winter and constantly washing my hands in clinic as well as doing dishes and cleaning at home. Excited to see a noticeable improvement already!!

My skin is stubborn and though I’ve been through the gamut of moisturizers and treatments, very few give the relief and improvement I’ve seen in the last 24 hours.

Effective, only complaint is the bottle design

The ointment Gowan on very smooth and is similar to a Vaseline type of product but with more of a lotion infusion
The skin relief is instantaneous and does not leave hands feeling greasy or too dry
The bottle is confusing and I was unsure hown it’s intended to be applied with the small top etc. I found it even more strange that there were no application instructions or directions to reference in the packag

Effective but sticky feel

I found that the thick consistency of this product helped my very dry feet, however I would only wear it at night as it left an oily/sticky feel that I am not a fan of (a petroleum jelly feel). If you aren’t bothered by this, then you might like it. It also comes in a very small package. A little does go a long way though.

Great spot treatment for cracked and dry skin!

Love the little applicator. Allows you to apply the ointment directly to the spot needed without it being absorbed into your hands and instead focused into the area that needs it!

Great for elbows!

I received this as a sample so I can’t attest to the cost of this to rate the value.
I applied to my elbows and it made a difference including after my shower.
The only thing I don’t understand is the necessity of the applicator although it didn’t affect anything in regards to putting on the ointment. Maybe it’s meant to apply to cuticles?!

Great for painful cracks

I liked this to help with those tough spots that have really cracked, thick and helped ease the soreness.
Loved that it's unscented
Would be great for those who get cracks on their fingers, especially in the colder months.
