My partner has been having some Eczema issues for a few months now. He has tried this lotion and LOVES it. He says it is not greasy, absorbs fast and works. It dosen't get much better than that :)
I picked some of this cream up trying to improve how dry my skin has become in some areas.I have small patches of dry and really itchy skin from the cold weather we are having.I have tried so many different creams and I find this is one of my favorites.
I love that it has oatmeal in it which is very soothing and healing on the skin.I find its non greasy and absorbs really well into my skin.It is also fragrance free so it does not have an overpowering scent. Thanks Aveeno a great cream for problem skin.
I recently started getting bouts of eczema on my face -- around my chin and eyes. I never had this problem before. It wasn't so bad that my doctor said I need prescription creams, but my regular moisturizers weren't really helping; I would see temporary relief but the dryness would soon return.
My local pharmacist recommended that I try this cream and instantly noticed my skin getting better. I don't know what it is but this was the only face moisturizer that improved the look of my skin. Within a month, my eczema patches disappeared. The pharmacist advised that I continue to use this product even with no signs of visible eczema and I have.
It has a thicker consistency, which I personally like for my dry to normal, sensitive/reactive skin and it I use it year-round. It has oatmeal in the cream and you get a hint of the scent but it doesn't bother me.
I have found it priced for up to $13 (Shoppers Drug Mart) and as a low as $9 (No Frills). This has become my go-to face moisturizer.
I have had problems with dry skin on my legs in the winter months for five years. I have a cupboard full of lotions and creams that have only been used once. A friend told to try Aveeno Eczema and I loved it. It is the only remedy to my dry skin, everything else makes my legs more irritated. But, Aveeno actually soothes them, and takes away the itch almost instantly! I keep a bottle in the bathroom, in the bedroom and one in my purse. I don't go anywhere without it!
I have eczema on my hands so using some creams and lotions can leave my hands either dry and irritated from certain ingredients or it'll sting and irritate the skin.
After trying this product it left my skin well hydrated and it eased the flareups. It has a very slight distinct smell: oatmeal.
One thing I didn't really like was that it kind of leaves a slight waxy feeling. I think it's because the product is sealing in the moisture and it lasts longer. Plus it's a little pricy for 166ml ($12.95)
Overall it's a pretty good product and I've purchased it a few times since my eczema can get pretty bad.
I do like the Eczema cream, but the only downside is the price. I will be honest, I will pay almost anything to have my baby's skin eczema free, but it is a bit expensive. It averages between 10 and 15 dollars, depending where it's purchased, meanwhile similar skin creams are between 8 and 10 dollars.
The lotion itself is smooth, soft, and acts as a much needed reliever for my baby's skin.
I'd say it's a definate purchase if you are an eczema sufferer!
This soothing cream really helps. This year has been pretty bad for me, and I never used to have dry itchy skin on my face. I know it says you can apply anywhere over the body but I have to admit, in my desperation, I applied this to my face. NO NEGATIVE REACTIONS TO MY FACE! YAY!
The only setback....is that this makes my skin feel sticky...even if i apply at night and let it set overnight.
This proved to be effective head to toe!
I bought this cream and found it worked ok for me. My brother brought me some back when he went to the US and I found that it worked MUCH better than the Canadian brand, I believe the formula/ingredients slightly differ. It worked great, helped prevent the itch that comes with Eczema and I noticed my flare up went down and stayed down with reapplication.
I finished my first tube of Aveeno Eczema Care Cream about two weeks ago and I bought it from Pharma Plus for $12.49 CDN
This is special cream to treat a skin problem called eczema.
I have a bit of eczema on three of my fingers on my right hand. The symptoms of eczema that I have is very dry skin that is easily irritated from soaps, cleaning products, even some moisturizers.....the skin becomes really itchy at times and when I scratch it, the condition worsens and often the skin gets raw, might bleed or some clear fluid comes out. When it got pretty bad at times, I didn't even want to go out because it looked terrible.
I have posted up pictures of the back of the tube for more information
I highly highly recommend the Aveeno Eczema Care Cream.
This cream has prevented my eczema from flaring up. I know this for a fact because my eczema flared up very easily and rather often no matter what creams I had used before. For the whole duration of the time I used this cream, I am happy to say that I did not experience any severe itching that would lead to my eczema flaring up again. There were a couple of times my eczema prone fingers got a bit itchy, but even when I scratched them to my heart's content (I can't resist an itch!), the eczema did not flare up like it always did before.
I used this cream only on my hands: everytime after washing my hands and before bedtime.
A few days I did not have this cream with me (when I was on my short vacation) and I had to resort to my regular Aveeno moisturizer as a handcream. Sad to say, my eczema prone fingers started to get severely itchy again and it started to flare right back up. So this is when I knew that the Aveeno Eczema Care Cream really worked.
I also know it really works because the skin on my right hand has consistently been very well for the past month and a half I was using this cream...so much so that I don't think anybody can tell I had eczema before.
There is still a bit of dryness particularly when I hop out of the shower before I moisturize. But once I moisturize everything looks fine. I can still feel that the skin is not 100% healed like perfectly normal skin but it's about 85%-90% healed and I will keep this up in hopes of getting rid of my eczema completely.
I also want to point out that about two months ago (before I started this cream), I started to be more mindful of what soaps I was using to wash my hands (I use Dove handsoap) and making sure that I wear cleaning gloves at all times when I clean dishes, countertops or when using any household cleaning products. This is very important.
I wanted to note that if you do not have eczema, do not buy this cream. It seriously will not help your skin be any "better"/softer than before. I say this because I had to use the cream on both my hands even though I do not have any eczema at all on my left hand. The skin on my left hand has not changed at all compared to using the other regular Aveeno moisturizers (which I do highly recommend for regular/dry skin).
