The BALM

I have suffered from eczema-like skin rashes for years now, it all started when I tried a product meant for the eye area that actually gave me an acid burn on my eyelids, essentially burning the skin on the eyelids and around the eyelids. It lasted for months before eventually clearing up, or at least becoming less scaly. Since then, I have experienced this rash on the eyelids, between the eyebrows, and in different spots on my body every winter. It seems that as soon as the air gets cool, these odd rashes come back.

I've been to the dermatologist, and they gave me a prescription strength cortisone cream mixed with some kind of antifungal ingredient...um what? It didn't clear up any of the issues, I have been using the eczema lotion by Aveeno for a while, and have converted by bf to it as well. I have been interested in trying the balm since I find that if I don't apply the lotion every morning and night it comes back the next day as if nothing was done at all. The BALM on the other hand, is definitely thicker and is almost closer to a zinc ointment (and even has a similar smell). It is thicker than the lotion for sure and it coats the skin much more. It is fairly heavy feeling on the skin, even though it does feel like it is sinking in, you can still feel it there.

I am IN LOVE with this stuff. Since receiving it, I've applied it a few times to different areas and it has cleared up the patchy, scaly, ITCHY skin within a day. I applied it all over my face and chest the first night, and It might not be the best for the cheek areas, but it certainly cleared up my eyelids and chest in no time. I don't even have to apply it daily to feel the effects. It is great for when you have that super itchy area and no lotion will cut it, this stuff will coat it and soothe the itch so you're not breaking the skin. My eyelids and patch between my eyebrows look awesome, and the patches on my chest are significantly better in just a week. I think this is my new holy grail for the winter, and I will definitely repurchase when I run out. I should mention that the tub it comes in is huge, and you don't need too much to spread a long way, especially if you use it to spot treat areas.

Average eczema cream

I'll start off by saying I do love Aveeno products and purchase the face care products. My son and myself get eczema him more severe mine is mild. The cream is very nice and thick , it applies well and helps with itching BUT I found after it was applied it became very sticky. Unfortunately once sticky it becomes more irritated then before. I appreciate the opportunity to try and test out this product complimentary thanks to Chick Advisor !

Love, love this stuff

I received Aveeno Eczema Care Itch Relief Balm free from Chick Advisor and just want to say thank you for this opportunity. These Saskatchewan winters can get really cold and dry. I have tried almost every type of balm/cream/moisturizer. My legs get so itchy, I will scratch till I bleed, it is gross, but the itch will not stop. I have used Aveeno Eczema Care Itch Relief Balm for now 1 week. I use it daily after my shower and before bed. I like the fact it is unscented, as with so many creams, lotions, soaps, the scents can get so overwhelming. It is thick, but you only need a small amount and it does go on really nice and smooth. I do find it a bit greasy, but I put it on as soon as I am out of the shower and then proceed with my normal routine, getting dressed last and it seems to help. The moisture lasts all day, which is great because I have found with other brands, it only seems to last a few hours and by days end I'm scratching and itchy all over again. The price is a bit high, but you don't need to use much and if it works, I will definitely keep using.

Best for itchy skin

I use this for my daughter it is a little expensive but worth it. I would rather pay a premium price for anything that stops her itching and damaging her skin in the winter months

This balm is the bomb!

I have tried at least 8 different "eczema creams" and let me tell you, this balm is a fantastic moisturizer! It is quite thick and you hardly need to use much in order to see a difference. It has no strong scent, hydrates deeply, absorbs well into the skin and relieves the itch immediately. I have sensitive skin and this cream hasn't made me breakout or burned my skin. I would recommend using before bed, as it is greasy. However, it works very well soI would definitely recommend it. After the first use, the pain from my eczema went away in 2 minutes. After 3 days of three-times-a-day use, the eczema on my hands was barely noticeable. I have had two co workers try it and they have been back to my office a few times for more. It's a definite must have for winter!

Simple, efficace et accessible

C'est un très bon produit pour les gens qui souffrent, comme moi, d'eczéma de façon légère à modérée. La formule soulage rapidement la sensation de démangeaison en engourdissant la région. La crème n'a pas de parfum particulier, n'est pas grasse et pénètre rapidement les pores. Il est donc possible de s'habiller tout de suite après avoir appliqué la crème sur notre peau.
C'est une crème un peu dispendieuse, mais je considère qu'elle vaille la peine pour ceux et celles qui ont des démangeaisons due à l’eczéma ou simplement à la sécheresse hivernale.

i have two children and my husband who suffer from dry,itchy skin and haven't found a product that can keep away the dry, red, and skin until yesterday, when I tried Aveeno Eczema Care (balm).After the kids bath i applied the balm put them to bed and first thing i noticed when we got up was the redness was gone from their cheeks.Already i was happy. During breakfast there was no fussing about they being itchy, so there was no scratching. My husband also has eczema, a little more severe than the girls. When he arrived home from work i had him try the Aveeno on his arm, ear and hand (where the dry spots are ) and we couldn't believe the difference by the end of the day. Our family will definitely continue with Aveeno Eczema Care because it works!

Better then I thought!

My 2 kids and I suffer from this eczema and we have tried countless of products including prescription to if nothing else sooth the problem. After trying the Aveeno Eczema care itch relief we had noticed some itch relief finally. I highly recommend.

One of the best Eczema balms

I received the Aveeno Eczem Care itch relief balm to try from ChickAdvisor. I was doubtful at first that this would work but after using it a few times I started to notice a difference. This balm is very rich and it coats the affected areas very nicely. I really enjoyed the feel of it on my skin. It takes a while to absorb into the skin but it lasts a while. It doesn't really have a scent so the smell of it won't bother you. I would really recommend this product, it actually works. I now I'll be buying more of it.

So Good! But So Expensive

I loved this product! The tub was nice and big and the scent was nice and light and natural. The lotion itself is a little bit thick but you don't need too much. It really moisturized my skin and locked it in, especially during this crazy cold weeks. It's nice and silky feeling and relieved the eczema itch from my skin and really soothed the irritated areas, it had a bit of a cooling effect on the skin like its was calming it down. It says in is non-greasy but the palm of my hands did feel a little greasy after, although it didn't last for very long, The price of this tub is insane though, we're talking about upwards of $20. As much as I love this lotion I don't know if I could justify that kind of cost.
