My whole family has been dealing with atopy which is a group of issues ranging from hay fever to eczema. Growing up, our cabinet always had to be stacked with body lotion and hand cream all year long. Aveeno was personally my favorite brand because of its unique use of colloidal oatmeal and the variety of the products offered. From their bath treatment to their moisturizing face cream, each product was made with our wellbeing in mind.

The Eczema care rescue relief gel is no exception.
I was sceptical at first. A gel for dry skin? I always heard that thick cream are the best for dry skin and that gel will irritate your skin. I was proved wrong! This formula is gentle and cooling without leaving my skin feeling stripped. It absorbs so quickly which is perfect for when i’m in a rush in the morning (so… everyday?).
This product quickly became part of my daily routine and it’s here to stay.

aveeno eczema care rescue relief gel cream

This was my favourite out of the two Aveeno products that was sent to me for free in exchange for my review. This gel cream like texture was very smooth and silky on my dry irritated skin. I applied this right after the shower and noticed it does have a slight tack but it goes after it dries down. Bonus- fragrance free and steroid free! Very calming and soothing for anyone dealing with eczema prone skin. Love this one!

Cooling relief

I like the instant cooling effect to relieve my dry, itchy skin. Great product added to the Aveeno lineup as I already use the baby formula on my kids.

Worked well!

I’ve never tried a gel type eczema care before so it was nice to see Aveeno making more products for eczema for adults. I used this gel overnight as that’s when my eczema itches the most. The relief was instant, as soon as put it on it felt so much better. After using it for a week, my eczema is gone. I couldn’t believe it. Even though mine was minor; it’s just always been there since no other products worked with me. But with Aveeno, it was instant relief and also helped make it disappear.

Amazingly Effective

I've had a recurrent very extreme breakout of eczema on both my knees for years now, never been able to get rid of it. Within only a few days of using this gel I've seen HUGE improvements of the affected areas. My skin is much less dry and flaky, less itchy, and less enflamed. Definitely recommend.

It's like magic

Thank you Butterfly and Aveeno for allowing me to try out their incredible product in exchange for an honest review. During the harsh winter season, my hands tend to become extremely dry, and my eczema would become quite severe. Despite my efforts, I couldn't seem to find a solution, and I would often find myself scratching until I developed painful blisters. However, after using this product day and night, I noticed a significant improvement in my hands. The cooling effect of the gel helped ease the irritation and burning sensation, and I experienced fewer flare-ups, redness, and itchiness. I highly recommend this product if you suffer from symptoms of eczema.
