Super moisturizing and steroid free!

I received this product for free in exchange for a review. I personally like the cream lotion better than the gel texture. However, this is still non greasy on skin, feels slightly stronger in moisturizing compared to the cream. This one is fantastic for night time. I have mild eczema and I'm not currently in a flare up, but I will be trying this product again when I am flaring. I would recommend you try this product to sooth dry and itchy patches.

Broke me out

Fast absorbing itch relief

This is unlike anything I’ve ever tried before. It is very lightweight and absorbs into the skin right away, with a cooling effect. Great for quick relief from itchy eczema.

Works ok but not great

I received these free from Butterly. The gel works better than the lotion. It feels nice and soothing on, but I don’t think it really helps the eczema go away. More that it feels nice in the moment. I’ll use it but I won’t buy it when it’s done.

Nit what I expected

I used AVEENO® Eczema Care Rescue Relief Treatment Gel Cream on my elbows because when I get eczema this is where I get it the worst and it's so difficult to remedy. I was surprised by what came out of the tube. I was expecting a thick, clear gel that would stay on top of the skin. Instead, this product is less like a gel and more like a runny lotion. It has a tan color to it. It does absorb into the skin very well, but it's initial texture is strange. Almost like it's going to be sticky, but it turns out to make your skin soft and smooth.

Overall while I recommend this product because it does work for eczema, I wouldn't buy this particular product again. I found that it just doesn't meet my expectations sensory wise and I'd rather just use the moisturizing cream from this line instead.

A Bit Underwhelming

My husband and I both have moderate to severe eczema. We’ve tried it all in an attempt to get our skin under control. Aveeno’s Eczema Care Daily Moisturizing Cream is our go-to for ongoing maintenance of our eczema. I had high hopes for this gel cream, but honestly speaking, I didn’t find it was anything different than Aveeno’s regular cream. It did have a slight cooling sensation, but nothing of any great significance. It was a bit underwhelming.

Felt sticky

Not sure if it is the hydrating aspect or oatmeal aspect, but it felt sticky and didnt sink in. That said I guess if you want the hydration and your skin not to dry out, it works. Not for me, but may work well for others.

Gel Cream Relief

I don't care for the gel cream texture. It feels more sticky and takes much longer to rub into my skin, compared to the cream-based moisturizer. I felt like I had to reapply more often with this one. I didn't experience any irritation, but I found the cream to be more soothing overall. Also the smell of oatmeal seems to be very potent in this particular product and while I do like the fragrance-free, I find it a bit too oatsy-scented.
