I received this product through the review club and was very excited to try it out. I do have some dark circles under my eyes, not too much puffiness, but I thought this would be a nice product to try to fight and prevent this. I personally enjoyed using this product - the skin under your eyes is the most delicate and needs to be taken care of. Although I personally have not noticed any difference in the appearance of my undereyes, I really enjoyed using the metal rollerball. I felt that the cool metal along with the light product really soothed my tired eyes in the morning and at night. I felt that this product was especially useful in the morning to really help wake my face up and give me a fresh start. I thought the serum used in the product was also nice - lightweight and dried quickly, along with a pleasant scent. Althought I haven't noticed any results yet, I'm sure that after continued use I will. Not only that, but I also believe that it will be quite effective for those dealing with puffiness due to it's soothing qualities. If the price was a little lower, it is definitely something that I would reccommend to friends to help soother your eyes and wake up your skin.
Thanks to the product review club I got to try this product from chick advisor. I tried it on for a week straight and didn't notice anything different. Its useful in the morning to give you eyes a cold tingling sensation that awakens them but I don't think it reduced any dark circles. I do not have puffiness under my eyes so I could not say if it reduced it. But its great in quality and smell, sometimes it leaves your eyes wet underneath which annoys me a bit and I had to pat it down dry then apply makeup. For the first few days I didnt apply makeup just to see if it would brighten my eyes and I wouldnt look sleepy but that did not work.
The second week I gave it to my 47 year old mom who does have visible puffiness under the eyes and it took her about a week to see a slight reduction under her eyes. She loved the cold ball rolling massage under her eyes. So i think it does work but perhaps takes about 2-4 weeks to notice a change. The price should be about $11 instead of 20$.
All in all it was an okay product but not worth the price and takes a while to work but I would not recommend it if you need to really cure the puffiness and dark circles underneath your eyes.
I want to start by saying that there isn't anything terribly wrong with this product, I just don't think it's worth so much money for such small results.
I'm not an avid user of Aveeno products but I always think of them to be of very good quality, and a little over my budget which is why I usually stay away from them. Scent is important too me, so I was happy that it was pleasant and not too strong. The rollerball itself can be cooling and rather soothing. When I put it on I felt more awake, like my eyes instantly opened up, which is great for early mornings.
Other than that I really didn't find it very effective. My eyes didn't seem less puffy. I actually woke up one morning and used it under 1 of my eyes to compare. The puffiness in both eyes lessened in time with both, the one with Aveeno was not all that much faster at all. I also learned not to apply it soon after washing my face, if I did I got an unpleasant burning sensation, nothing life shattering, but still uncomfortable.
I was happy I got to try this ( through Chick Advisors product review club) because it is pricey. Again, nothing terribly wrong with it, I just can't recommend something so expensive that gave me such little results.
Received this through Chick Advisor.
I think this past week has been the perfect time to test out such a product. Lately I've been going to sleep very late, therefore I've had some major dark circles and puffiness. The cold rollerball definitely felt really nice in the morning along with the slight tingle from the product it really "woke" my eyes up and probably reduced some of the puffiness. As for undereye circles I don't feel that it lightened them to any degree, usually I don't have a major problem with circles (besides this past week).
I really see this more as a morning "perk me up" product rather then an full on eye treatment. It's nice and fast to apply in the morning with the added bonus and perking up your tired eyes. I do find I need to pat it in a bit or else I do get a slight film (which may or may not affect makeup applied over top). The smell is very pleasant and the packaging is pretty sturdy.
Overall, I do really like the product but the price is a tad steep at $20, I will probably try a Garnier Eye Roller and compare before I repurchase the Aveeno one. Also I would keep this a morning product and sub an eye cream instead at night.
I recently received this product through ChickAdvisor's New Product Review Club Offer. I have to say that i'm pretty impressed with it. I never expect these kinds of products to work but this one did. For several days I used the roller on only one eye (which I changed day-to-day) and then asked my husband to identify the 'less tired' looking eye. Each time he identified correctly meaning he chose the eye that I applied the product to. When I looked in a mirror and compared the two I really could notice a difference.
It's nice to apply in the morning after feeling so groggy, it's nice and cooling. It is very easy and fast to apply and has a nice scent. After application I have to wait several minutes to let it dry before I apply my make up but I don't mind.
If the products does cost $20, i'm not certain I would buy it again in the future but I likely would as I did notice results. Plus my husband is using it too now :)
I received this product through Chick Advisor's product review club. The product itself come in a compact tube a little bigger than a lipstick, so it's easy to stash away and take with you. It feels cold when you put it on but it doesn't feel like you're leaving any residue on your eyes. Instead it leaves under your eyes feeling moist with an invigorating fresh scent that I find really perks me up and wakes me up.
I didn't notice any major changes to any looks of dark circles or anything like that. But it feels very refreshing and is a nice little pick me up. I'm sure if you take before and after pictures of yourself your eyes won't look super puffy.
For $20 a bottle, i'd hesitate before I bought this product again. There are other things I can do to wake myself up, especially because I didn't notice any changes to my eyes.
Full disclosure - I received this product through Chickadvisor.
I'm a full-time post-grad student with multiple jobs, freelance and part time in a really busy industry. Therefore, at least a few mornings a week I'm super groggy and puffy-eyed in class. The Aveeno Anti Fatigue Eye Roller really interested me because I've tried a few 'wake-up-and-go' things before and tons of samples of eye cream from Clinique and Lancome but never found those effective so they haven't really stuck as a part of my regimen. The Anti-fatigue roller has a deliciously refreshing smell, it feels WONDERFUL and cold rolling under my eyelids and definitely perks me up. At first it was shocking, now its refreshing, and despite tingling at first, does not adversely affect my sensitive skin.
Downside? It's totally addictive, sometimes I roll it on just because the residual feeling is gone! Uhoh... But I do wish this product was about $9.99, it's about $20 according to Chick Advisor and other sources which I think is too much to afford. But with the results I'm seeing I think I'll see how long this bottle lasts. It's larger than a lipstick container so it is a generous amount.
I got this product from ChickAdvisor's New Product Club Offer and have been using it for twice a day (usually) for a week. It's easy to apply (a few shakes, then uncap it and apply once under each eye) and has a strong, though pleasant smell.
I haven't noticed any major changes or improvements, but unless I'm under a really awkward lighting, there aren't noticeable bags under my eyes. I THINK there might have been a slight improvement to the "puffiness" (if you look really closely) under my eyes, but maybe that's just all in my mind.
Considering the price is around $20 retail, I don't think that I would recommend this to a friend. Unless you get a very small amount of sleep for a few days straight, in which case I think that this product would probably help a lot, I don't see the worth in purchasing this product when all you really need to do is get a good night's sleep. Actually, if you can't even spare a few more hours to get a full 8 hours and would rather use this to cover it up, I'd say watch out, 'cause you're probably going to get sick really, really soon. Anyways, I don't use make-up, so I don't get the appeal of using products such as this, but of course you can try it out if you don't trust this review (among many others on the Internet).
I received this product from the product review club (thanks chick advisor), and was very excited to try it. This is the first eye roller I have tried so I can't compare it to anything else, but I can tell you my experience. The first thing I noticed when rolling it on was that it tingled slightly (it was very minimal, lasted about 10 seconds and I didn't really mind it).
The second thing I noticed was the scent; It has a really strong (kinda fruity) smell. It was overwhelming at first, but after a few seconds of it being on I really liked it. The smell was refreshing and "woke" me up, so to speak.
It was easy to apply, just a quick roll under each eye. After rolling it on, I found it to be a little wet and took about 30-45 seconds for the product to dry under my eyes.
After using this product for a week I noticed that it decreased the puffiness under my eyes. It was only a slight improvement, but I did notice a difference. I found it to be the most helpful when I needed a quick pick me up after a late night. It made me look like I had a full 7-8 hours of sleep, when it reality I only had 3-4 hours. I don't have a probelm with dark eye circles, so I can't comment on how this product works for this.
Furthermore, I have sensitive skin and have tried aveeno products in the past will bad results (the hand lotion irritated my skin and made my skin break out in a rash). However, I did not have this problem with this product and I was pleasantly surprised when I had no reaction to the eye roller.
Overall, if you're looking for a product to decrease puffiness, can handle a strong scent and can find it at a good price, I would try this product.
Thanks for giving me a solution to a problem I didn't know I had! I am so greatful!
I have never been self conscious of my under eyes, I don't ever think about it. When I recieved the product for review, I thought I would give it a try. Was I ever surprised. the first time I used it, I noticed a difference. I want to put it on my whole face! haha. I took my mom to Shoppers Drug Mart the next day and bought her one, she had the same reaction. I am sold! It is expensive, but worth it. The main thing I noticed wasthe brightness, it made the colour of the skin under my eyes whiter. My eyes are less puffy. I am so happy I found this product, I will use it for life!
