More radiant with Aveeno

I like the product very much.
After your daily routine of cleaning your skin, before makeup, you will love to use it and you will be surprised to feel your skin glowing with no grassy feeling.

Moisturized but not oily

First off I would like to thank Aveeno and Chickadvisor for this awesome opportunity.

I received the Aveeno Positively Radiant MaxGlow Serum and Primer for free being part of the Product Review Club to give my honest review on it.

I love this product since it is hypoallergenic, paraben-free, phthalate-free and non-comedogenic, in other words, it won’t clog your pores.

Also my skin has been super dry and dull thanks to crazy Canadian winter weather. My skin is usually combination skin. Oily and dry patches and I also have breakouts which some products can trigger it even more.

I am honestly not a big fan of the product dispenser. It has a twist open cap and a open hole where the product comes out. You're supposed to shake it well before use. Once you twist open the cap, air and the product shoots to the cap and makes the cap all messy and oily. Also I push the opening tightly against my palm of my hand and tilt it just to get a dab of product which is just enough. It doesn't make my face oily which I was suprised. My face looks different when I use this product I guess it's the glow as it describes.
The packaging it self looks sleek and natural which I love.
Also, this is bottle contains a lot of product for a serum and primer which is a good value for the product and amount.

The smell is not too overwhelming.

The consistency of the product is like an oil not sure why they called it a serum. It leaves your skin moisturized without making it feel oily or greesy. It is lightweight and very fast absorbing. I use this product as my final step of my skincare routine. Which I'm surprised that it layers well with my other products that I use.
I love how this product moisturized my skin without making it oily looking and it leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized. Bye bye to those dry patches. Hello to even skin texture!
I would use this product more in the winter times.

Excellent product! Love everything about this item. The product makes my skin soft and glowy and preps it for a flawless makeup application. The smell is wonderful and it even hydrates! I will be buying this for my makeup kit for my brides. #gotitfree

Great 2-for-1 product!

This product absorbs and “dries” very quickly, I can put my makeup on right away. It’s the perfect level of moisture for my skin, leaves it feeling soft and supple, dry. And unlike other serums or primers it’s very light and not sticky. It’s a little too watery though it’s not that bothers all that much. My only real complaint is the bottle, because it’s thin like water I don’t like having to shake it out like ketchup. I think it’s designed to only dispense a tiny amount though because that’s all you need, which is great because not only are you not caking tons of product on your face but the bottle will last a long, long time! I love the fact it’s a 2-for-1 product because it saves time, is less clutter and overall makes things easier!

Pour une belle peau

Ce produit sent divinement bon et frais.

Au début j'étais pas certaine de l'aimer pour le mélange 2 en 1 (Sérum & Primer).

Mais il fait très bien le travaille, laisse une peau lise et radieuse.

Il faut savoir qu'il faut absolument le porter avec une crème hydratante.

Si jamais vous avez une peau très grasse, je le recommande pas.

A great finishing glow

I had to learn to use this product sparingly. I really like it and I like the smell. Originally I was putting it on daily which left my skin feeling very oily. Now I use it 3 to 4 times a week. AFter washing I wait a while and I put it on before I apply my eye makeup. It leaves the skin with a bit of a shine. But a little bit goes a long way. Once you figure out how to make it work for your skin it is a perfect addition to your facial routine. I do like the colour and feel of the bottle. It gives it that earthy feel.

Great as a primer! Not in love as a serum.

I have been using this product for about two weeks now since receiving my free trial.

The first week I decided I would use it as a serum. The instructions suggest using your normal face cream first, then applying the serum after. The first thing I noticed was it smelled really nice. The formula is not overly oily like I was expecting, more of a dry oil consistency.

I mixed and applied as instructed, ready to start my day, but I find as a serum, with no makeup applied after, it left my face incredibly shiny! Mirror like even. It did seep in well but the shine remained. It's effectiveness wasn't anything notable as a serum, but maybe after long term use it would be pretty noticable.

The second week I used it as a primer. I applied as instructed and used full face makeup the first day. I found it helped my foundation grip to my face and I was very pleased with its effectiveness. No makeup transfer was noticed at all and I'd say it holds itself up to any high end brand primer! The second day I only added a transparent powder to my face afterward and it took away all the previously mentioned shine, and left me looking more alert and ready for work!

My only complaint about this product would be that the dispenser is messy. It's just an open hole at the top. After you mix the product and open,you flip it over quickly to get some drops out. It can get onto the bottle because of this, and when you close it, air kind of pushes out of the cap and lightly spurts the product around the twist of the closure, so the next time you open it, it's ready to run out a bit.

This is an effective primer for sure. I probably wouldn't buy it though because it contains soy complex, which I guess is a selling point for aveeno, but I try to steer clear of soy because of the claims of its interference with estrogen production.

In conclusion, I love this as a primer and do not love it as a serum.

Skin feels clean and soft

Received this and love it. Makes my skin feel soft and hydrated. Soaks into skin fast and leaves no oily residue like others. Recommended to my BFF and she loves it. My daughter uses this daily as well as she "sneaks" it. Highly recommended

Long search is over: Best primer + serum

I have tried at least 10 different primers and this is by far the one that stood out the most. Not only does it make your skin glow it literally makes your skin healthy too. My skin is super dry and after one week of use, I could see the improvement already! I am just so happy to get to try this product for free and I would definitely buy this product over and over and over. The only thing I would suggest is if they could add spf so it could be an all in one product! #gotitforfree #aveeno
