Fragrance

When I received the product I noticed the stress relief written on the products and took the cap off to smell it. The strong fragrance was very over powering it wasn’t a relaxing good scent.

Underwhelming

While I was excited to have the opportunity to review this product, when it came time to put it to use it was pretty underwhelming.
The smell was pleasant, the consistency less so, but I made the most of it following the directions. It wasn’t too gritty but it could have used a little more grit to it. It rinsed clean easily when I was done. I did notice my skin was a little softer afterwards, but it was still very dry and now had little flakes of dry skin present.
Overall, this product was just “meh”. Will I use what I have? Yeah probably, but not regularly. Will I bug it again? I’d have to say no. Do I still love other Aveeno products? Sure do! Just because this was a flop for me, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try it and use your own experience to judge it. Hope you enjoy better than I did.

Stinky

This stuff is stinky OMG. The minute I squeezed some into my hand the overpowering and cloying artificial scent of lavender and “oat” induced a rapid fire sneezing attack. It is also way runnier than I would expect of an effective body scrub.
It left my skin feeling soft but that’s about the only positive thing I have to say. I’m just glad I got it free in exchange for a review because I would be extremely disappointed if I had paid for this product.

Didn't like it

I wasn't a fan. First of all, I couldn't determine if this is a lotion or body wash. I've never seen lotion with a scrub texture that you don't rinse off after use. The tube didn't say whether it was an in-shower product. When I applied it after my shower (when I always apply my moisturizer, I didn't like the texture as a lotion. It was weird. It didn't absorb well and I didn't find the lavender scent to be soothing. I much prefer unscented body lotions. Overall, I was not a fan and would not use this product again.

Oh Avee'NO'...

Aveeno never misses a beat in even the slightest of disappointment/dissatisfaction I have run into with the majority of their products. I was given the opportunity to review their stress relief body scrub which claims to have a relaxing scent while revealing softer and smoother skin. While the latter of my statement may be true the relaxing scent is definitely not. This pungent odor reminded me of the smell of a cheap janitorial soap they use in your public restrooms and/or elementary schools. Although I appreciate the nostalgic through back Aveeno I do not wish, however, for my entire body to be lathered in it.
