Not for dark skin
I put this on my face and noticed that I had a while powdery film on my face. It was itchy and sticky and left my face feeling clammy. The product literally sat on top of my skin and did not absorb into it. I would classify this product as an Aveeno fail. One thing I can attest to is the sun won't get through this bad boy....

Maybe I could use this as sunscreen and mix it into my skin lotion...
AVEENO ULTRA-CALMING DAILY MOISTURIZER WITH SPF 30
I recently got the opportunity from Chickadvisor to test out the Aveeno Ultra-calming daily moisturizer for free to give my honest opinion. The moisturizer is definitely light weight and it has a nice scent, however if you have deep skin tone expect to get a white cast, I am assuming it due to the sun screen. I love how you don't have to use a lot, 1-2 pump is enough. I checked Walmart and it's retailing for $19.97, which is a reasonable price. If you have sensitive skin, I would definitely recommend it.
It was okay.
Aveeno Ultra Calming daily Moisturizer with SPF 30 is a good moisturizer if you really have sensitive skin.
It doesn’t have the harsh smell of sunscreen. The consistency though is quite thick. It has SPF 30 and it is just right for me. It applies well But doesn’t absorb quickly. I usually had to wait a fe more minutes for me to be able to apply my make up.
So I guess it is not suited for wearing under make up. I have used other products that are thinner in consistency and blends really well.
It’s an okay product for someone who don’t want a lot of SPF on their sunscreen. It is very gentle on skin though so really great for what it’s made for.
I can’t say it toned down any redness on my face. I walk my dog everyday and it makes my face really warm that I feel like I’m burning up. So I dunno.. maybe it’s thd weather but since I started using this my face just gets warm easily.
I’d say I’d still recommend it to people with sensitive skin or hates the smell of sunscreen like me.

Not My Favourite
I was super excited about this product after reading the product packaging. It contains some really high quality ingredients that are great for your skin. I really wanted to love this product but I don't. This product is only SPF 30 so I was surprised at how white my skin looked after applying it. My skin is very fair and it still made me very white looking, the level of white I would expect in an SPF 50 or 60 product. I actually had to wipe some of it off. It's not the best to use under makeup because applying the makeup over top of it caused the moisturizer to pill and clump which is super annoying. This product also made my skin extremely oily looking. All day I felt like a grease ball and it tended to settle into my fine lines and pores, further accentuating the whiteness of the product.
Some of the pros - it didn't irritate my skin and it's odorless which is nice. You also don't need to use a lot of it to get good coverage so although the bottle it small, it will probably last quite awhile.
Overall, as an everyday moisturizer, this product is not for me. I might use it for pool/beach days when I'm slathering on sunscreen anyway and don't care about the greasy whiteness.

Not my kind of moisturizer
I was very excited to try this moisturizer; hence the reason why I put way too much on on my first try. I was very disappointed by how white it made my brown skin look due to the SPF 30, but I guess I should've expected that with how high the SPF was. Toning down the SPF would make this a much better product and would work with more skintones, or have a variety with varying levels of SPF, so they don't inadvertently alienate a whole sector of their market. Nonetheless, the moisturizer did feel good going on and did not cause me any breakouts or irritation on my sensitive skin. The product was odour free, which I LOVED. Manufacturers tend to add scents to products marketed even for people with sensitive skin, which is usually a major irritant, but with this one I appreciate that they haven't. The price of the product seems a bit steep for basically just being a glorified sunblock. I most likely would not buy it again until they bring down the SPF or add pigment for other skintones. #gotitfree
I'am in love!
I got this product for free from ChickAdvisor review club and Absolutely love it ,Very easy to apply , It had an SPF 30 to protect my skin against the sun ,very soft that I didn't feel heavy on my skin , The best on the winter time and even in the other season , Can be work under makeup or all by it self ,Highly recommend.
Pilled on my skin
Got it free through the product review club. I really wanted to love this product since it is a 2-in-1 moisturizer and sunscreen and a mineral sunscreen at that. But alas it was not for me. There is a significant white cast upon initial application which dissipates as you work it into the skin (typical of mineral sunscreen). Regardless of whether I wore makup or not over this moisturizer by midday it will have pilled up on my chin and cheeks so if I touched my face it would come off in clumps. As the weather changes and gets warmer maybe my opinion will change but for now I would not recommend it.
Great soothing moisturizer
I love this moisturizer. It’s so soothing and no more redness or irritation. The scent was very mild and contains SPF protection. It did not made my face oily either. It’s a great product and I love it and highly reccommended.
I received this product free from Chickadvisor.
Light hydration
This product had a very light scent. You almost can’t notice it at all. I used two pumps of the moisturizer for my whole face. It applies to the skin nicely, and absorbed quickly. I would say it must be better for an oily skin type. My skin is in the dry side, abandoned I found it was not enough moisture for me. I also found that it settled in the pores. I imagine that was from the sun protection. It leaves a bit of a white film. I do like that it has sun protection, but I wish it blended into the skins a little nicer.
I like my moisturizers to have a little more hydration as well.
The price point is good, conspiracies to other mass brands on the shelf.
I think this would be great for someone’s wig combination/oily skin, or for when it gets really hot in the summer ana you need a light moisturizer.
Nice Lotion and Sunscreen for Sensitive Users.
I occasionally get periods of irritated skin. I had one of those phases going on when I received this product so perfect timing.
I tested this as well as it's sister cleanser and had nice results. Did it make my skin look younger? No. But my skin looks fresh, felt calmed, moisturized and not greasy. It absorbs really fast which is great. I have an oily T area and this didn't make it worse.
It doesn't use the same kinds of sunblock as a lot of other products so if you've had irritation or breakouts from products with those in it, give this a shot. It's much more gentle and doesn't leave that "sunblock smell". The Aveeno product uses Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide, mineral based sunblockers.
The only downside would be the cost at $20. The bottle is only 68ml and if you're using the proper amount of it to protect from the sun (it should be around 1/4 teaspoon at least for your face) and you use it daily, it's not going to go far. Other than that, it's a good product.
I received this product for free to test and review.
