Nice gentle product.

The first thing that really impressed me with this cleanser is that it is completely scent free. Some times when things are natural, they still have a scent or a bit of a earthy smell. I really couldn't notice anything. The product its self is a light gel, that easily smooths over the face. I liked that it wasn't thick, and was easy to wash of with a few splashes of water or a swipe with a cloth. After using my skin felt soft as well as clean. I had no reaction, either in the moment or the following day. I didn't notice any major changes in my skin, but was still satisfied with it due to the fact that it didn't bring on any issues. I was impressed by this product and would recommend it to anyone, especially to those with skin & scent sensitivities.

Loved it!

It the last few years I've been using mostly face wipes or micellar water to wash my face since I have so little time to take care of my skin, but after trying and using the Aveeno Ultra-calming hydrating gel cleanser for a little over a week now, I might just have to change my routine! I've really enjoy it! It did a fantastic job at cleaning my skin (it foams really easily too!) and removing my make-up and it left my skin feeling cool and calm, without redness and irritation. Aveeno did a great job with this product! I highly recommend it and I will definitely will be buying it again! #GotItFree

Great affordable cleanser

I've always loved aveenos cleansers simply because they are affordable and effective. I'm always cautious on what I put on my face since I am oily skinned and prone to acne. This cleanser is fragrance free, non comedogenic and hypoallergenic which what I need for my skin. It wasn't drying and in fact left my skin feeling wonderful but I didn't find it removed my make up well so I had to ensure to prewash my face first and the supply. Over all very satisfied and would keep in my bathroom for a regular wash since it didn't break me out and calmed some of the redness in my face. #gotitforfree @chickadvisor

soft as a babies bottom

I love this cleanser. I have sensitive, dry, acne prone skin and this cleanser is amazing. It leaves my skin clean and soft with no irritation or a dry tight feeling.

When a face cleanser claims to be hydrating, I get very skeptical because to me that's just fluff and never shows up to the party. This product I can actually say surprised me a bit. My face does feel quite nice and hydrated after I use this. There was no irritation or redness as well.

A minor issue I have, and I do mean very minor, is I think the formula is a bit too thick for a gel cleanser.

Now the major con, and the one reason I cannot recommend this product. My face was still dirty after using this. There is zero reason to purchase a cleanser if it doesn't cleanse your skin. After washing my face, I used my usual toner and the cotton round had clear evidence that my face was still dirty by the slight brown discoloration. It's really too bad because my face did feel quite nice after this use, but if I know it's not clean, then what's the point?

Sadly, this cleanser is not for me.

So, I wanted to give a fair review, so I used this product for 11 days before commenting.
I think it would be good for certain skin types, but unfortunately, not mine.
I do have sensitive skin, but I also have acne-prone skin and I found after 11 days of using this, sure my skin felt soft and nice, but I have tiny little red acnes all over.
I do think that I need a stronger cleanser, and this one felt pretty soft going on and not like it was doing enough "deep cleaning".

I feel if you did not have acne prone skin this would work good for you.

I liked the smell and calming texture of the product.

Good for sensitive skin

The Aveeno Ultra Calming Hydrating Gel cleans my skin very well and leaves it feels soft and smooth. It lathers well and does not have a strong scent which I prefer. I would recommend it to anyone who has sensitive skin and is looking for something gentle and calming.

Apaise la peau et ne mousse pas trop!

Ma peau est relativement sensible ; j'ai de l'acné, des rougeurs, et ma peau est une combinaison normale-mixte. Certains jours, mon visage est gras, et d'autres, j'ai certaines zones qui sont très sèches. Ce nettoyant d'AVEENO nettoie délicatement la peau du visage ; il est sans fragrance et n'irrite donc pas, il a une texture légère et non collante, et surtout, j'apprécie qu'il ne produise pas une mousse trop intense et non nécessaire. Je démaquille toujours mes yeux avant de nettoyer mon visage, je ne recommanderais pas ce produit pour le démaquillage. J'applique la lotion hydratante de la même gamme et j'ai la peau propre et fraîche.

En bref, un produit efficace avec un rapport qualité-prix intéressant.

Cleans without drying the Skin

The first time i use it i can already feel the difference on my face the following morning. It's not dry but it feels so clean. It's not very hard to the skin but very effective. Plus it's fragrance free which is a plus for me. It really works without compromising the moisture of the skin. A must have!

Another wonderful Aveeno product

I received this as a free sample. This is a clear, rather thin (non-viscous) gel. There is a very, very mild, non-offensive floral scent that I didn't detect, but a family member did. To my surprise, it lathers quite a bit when applied to the face. It did leave a clean and refreshed feeling on my skin without irritation or dryness. I found my skin kept moisture well throughout the day. I've used it consistently for 1 week and have noticed my skin is less dry, and without irritation (although this could just be from coincidence of trying this product as the weather warms up in from winter to spring). Nonetheless, it seems to be a pretty good facial cleansing product that I would recommend.
