I've gotten to try four different shades of this product: Slicked Red, Apricot, Chocolate Fling, and Fuschia Fantasy. And these glosses come in three different varieties: Shine, Sparkle and Intense. Normally I would never blow $7 or $8 on a bloody tube of lip gloss - I don't care if it was churned in the glittering skull of a unicorn and made my boobs grow another cup size, I personally find it to be too high of a price. Others here may have different opinions on what constitutes "too high," so by all means don't judge this on cost alone.
I recently had a bit of luck and managed to find a box of three of these on sale for $5.00. I was actually looking for one color on eBay and the only auction that had it was a gift set of three - a Shine gloss, a Sparkle gloss and an Intense gloss. Ehh whatever, it was still cheaper than a normally-priced one. Overall good quality - the gloss goes on nice and smooth with the slanted "doe-foot" applicator. This stuff does not stay "juicy" very long, but unlike many lip products, this will not leave your lips feeling like you've just orally pleasured a bottle of rubber cement. When the gloss dries out, your lips will remain relatively smooth. The color fades too, but it will leave a subtle tint to the lips.
My personal favorite is the Apricot, which is an Intense gloss. The color is a beautiful brown-copper color that isn't overpowering and it's a nice complement to blonde hair, I think.
The Slicked Red is a Shine gloss and it's a very sugary watermelon pink. Not a lot of color with this one - maybe a slight hint, but that's why it's Shine. I didn't really see a big difference between how shiny this one was and how shiny the other two kinds were.
Fuschia Fantasy is a Sparkle gloss and gives a nice pinkish-red color and the color will hold a little even after the gloss has gone dry. Don't expect your lips to be dazzling like Vegas lights in this, though. It's not quite that amazing.
As for the Chocolate Fling, I believe this shade has been discontinued, but it definitely holds its color. Only thing is this one does get a little more tacky once it dries, but it offers a lovely shade of cocoa brown and, unless I'm losing my mind, it even smells a little chocolatey. I'm not sure if you can find this one anywhere anymore, but if you need a nice shade of medium-brown lip gloss, I'd recommend Chocolate Fling.
Overall, I would say if it's color you want most, get an Intense shade because those will show up the most. For just practical lip moisturizing, any of the Shine or Sparkle varieties will work well.
Love my Avon Glazewear - I haven't tried the coloured ones, but I have the clear/crystal one (with shimmer) and its great just on its own for a little bit of shine or as a top coat over something else. This reminds me, I should order another one as I keep scrang just a little bit more out of the empty tube everytime I use it.!!! Has a great "fabric-y" brush to which I like. Very reasonable price as well - of course, it's Avon!
This is a great lip gloss but the only trouble i always have is that the shade looks good and when i get it it turns out to be too dark or not what the colour i expected. its great when they have testers so u can put a bit on ur hand to really see the colour.
Got six of these lip glosses as they were on sale for 1.99 and figured I can't go wrong with a price like that. I found that they didnt have as much colour, but what did i expect its a lip gloss. Perfect for people who HATE stickly glosses as i cant stand them! Goes on smooth, a little thick but just dont use so much. Lasts a long time and helps moisturize as well. Reccomend it. I noticed it went for the same price again after a few months. So it seems to always go on sale for 1.99 (CAN). Sometimes they also have little samples of them for 99 cents which is PERFECT for in your purse and on the go, or if you are just trying a new colour out.
I really liked the colour options for the Glazewear lip glosses but I always found them to be a bit thick. The nice part about them being a thicker product though is that they go on more like lipstick rather than lip gloss. So you'll get the coverage and colour of a lipstick with the shine and shimmer of a gloss.
I did find though, that you'll definitely know when it's time to toss the product out because it will get a somewhat funky smell to it. That was a little odd to me since I have some lipsticks that are O-L-D that never smelled like that, but at least you'll know when it's time to toss it!
I really like the Avon Glazewear Lipglosses and have purchased quite a few of them, however Darling Pink stands out as my favorite shade. I keep reaching for this one over and over again and think it is a great pinky/nude tone that would suit many people. The pigmentation in these lipglosses is spectacular and they could almost pass as lipsticks if it weren't for its packaging. The tubes are of a good size and I feel that the amount of lipgloss is substantial. In addition, I enjoy how there are a range of colors to choose from, including a shimmery gold shade which works well at highlighting the center of the lips.
Although I like how the gloss smoothly glides onto the lips, I find that it can get a little too sticky, especially if you apply too much. It did keep my lips moisturized though and the color lasts quite a long time.
I love these too. Stock up when they are on special. Although they can be a bit sticky (my long hair does migrate to my lips :) - they are no worse than other brands. Great range of shades available and if you dont use it up quickly they last for AGES with out seperating or getting a yucky scent.
I loooove these lip glosses! I am a lipgloss junky and they come in great colors for whatever mood you're in!
I purchased this Avon glazewear lipgloss in the color mirage (I also have many other colors as I love lip gloss). This product is inexpensive when it comes on sale ($2.99) otherwise I think it is usually $7.99. The quality is OK but I do find the product to be somewhat sticky and feels tacky on the lips but not to the point of feeling uncomfortable when wearing it. I like the variety of shades available from glazewear-they range from a more full coverage to a sheer coverage. Mirage is a light beige color with shimmer that won't really add any color to your lips only enhance your natural lip color. The sparkle adds a nice touch and this product can be worn alone or over lipstick.
I remember these!!!! There was a time when I really liked them, however I realised there are much better options out there. The texture, wear and colours weren`t the greatest.
