Change in container and effectiveness

This used to be my go to sunscreen, but after my most recent purchase, I think that I need to look for something better.
The product now comes in a squeeze bottle with a flip up top, and aside from the change in the container, there must have been a change in formula, too. I used this on a recent trip to California, and even with diligent applications every few hours, I still got sunburned.
The formula is also a lot runnier than in the past. Not a fan, and I will not be purchasing this again.
