Good product
I was really excited about this product and not having to have to use additional products to minimize scars but I feel like I still need the aid of the other products. The packaging is also not ideal for a mom of kids to open single handed.
Bandaid not stuck on me
I received Band-Aid brand Pro Heal bandages for free from the folks at Band-Aid & Butterly in exchange for my honest review. Do you remember the old jingle? Stuck on Band-Aid brand and Band-Aid stuck on me? Well, this Band-Aid need not apply. The first negative is that the bandaid is nearly as big as it's wrapper and the wrapper doesn't have the easy pull tabs we all don't realize the convenience of until you are bleeding and cannot get into the Band-Aid. The second negative observation is that these Band-Aids do not stay stuck, but I think you got that already with the jingle. The positive observation is that the heal portion of the Band-Aid has it's own sealing wrapper so they don't dry up. I want this product, I need this product, but this product isn't quite there yet for me.
Band-Aid Pro Heal So-So
After successful use of blemish patches with the same Hydrocolloid feature, I had high hopes for the new Band-Aid Pro Heal adhesive bandages. Let's start with the positives: the bandage size AND the hydrocolloid gel pad are quite large so I can use this for a lot of different sizes of cuts and scrapes, which is great for when I'm gardening to keep the dirt out and allow the wound to heal quickly. My disappointment in this product lies in the adhesion. I've used many Band-Aid branded adhesive bandages in my time and they stick to skin really well! However, this particular product took some work to get it to stick. I definitely wouldn't be able to reposition this bandage if I happened to place it wrong the first time, as it would never stick again. I have tried applying bandage to my skin and to itself around my finger but it starts coming off right away.
This product has its place in the First Aid kit, however it wouldn't be my go-to if I was being active or in another scenario where the bandage could fall off. In those cases, I'll stick to the original Band-Aid adhesive bandages.
Bandaid
As someone with small kids I’d say this is definitely a good bandaid to use, the only downside I found was the stickiness was very very light so it was often falling off
large but poor adhesive
I like the material used and the fact that it’s super flexible and waterproof but from what I’ve experienced the adhesive is not strong and the band-aid peels easily. At least my kids aren’t complaining when it’s tume to remove it because it doesn’t stick to their skin too strongly. It’s hard to compare if the hydrcolloidal gel helps with faster healing and scaring but I like that the scab doesn’t stick inside the baid-aid with this formulation.
Not a good Adhesive so not waterproof
I applied the Band-Aid Pro Heal to a clean and dried surface of my foot where it wrapped from the bottom of the foot along the side and to the top. The minor wound was on the bottom of the foot. With little to no movement after application, the Band-Aid started to peel away from the skin within 10 min. Re-application failed. It continued to stick to the side and bottom but would not adhere. After another 10 min, all started to peel away. Was not able to test the waterproof properties as adhesion is required to test waterproof property. Potentially this was a defective box as adhesion is paramount for Band-Aids.
Ultimate Solution for Fast Healing
I recently tried BAND-AID Pro Heal Adhesive Bandages, and they have quickly become my go-to choice for minor cuts and blisters. These waterproof bandages feature an advanced hydrocolloid gel pad that offers 60% better healing, and I’ve noticed a significant difference in recovery time compared to regular bandages. Each bandage measures 82.5 mm by 25.5 mm, making them a perfect size for a variety of injuries, and they adhere securely without causing irritation.
Two in one
I received this product free to review from Band-Aid. Now the main purpose of bandages is to cover a scrape or cut, but in order to review these i couldnt hurt myself on purpose. But upon researching the the process heal hydrocolloid bandages in depth, I figured that they actually have a second use. This can be used on Acne spots!! I tried using these as Acne Patches to help Acne heal better, and I was right, it does minimize the inflammation of Acne spots. Thus this Band-Aid product has 2 purposes, it is great to keep on hand for cuts and scrapes and works great as a Acne spot treatment, but mostly at night since you'd have to cut it in half. So switching out your regular bandages for this multi purpose one seems like a great idea. Would definitely recommend this as an excellent addition in your toiletry bag.
Heals well but not the ideal bandages for everyone
This package contains 10 bandages all in one size, which is not ideal for smaller wounds. My husband recently got a cut on his finger, and he immediately applied one of these bandages to the wound. It's waterproof and healed the wound very well. However, I wish the bandages were available in various sizes and a lighter shade to match my skin colour. Also, it would be better if the fabric is more breathable.
Not impressed
I'm very surprised as to how poorly adhesive this is. I barely wore it on my wound for 4 hours and poof....no more stick. That's extremely disappointing
