INCREDIBLE BOOK! If you're at all interested in WW2, the army, history, or just want a good read, pick this up! The other reviewer gave a very good overview so I won't go into too much detail, except to say that this book is incredibly well written for a war novel and tells a truly inspirational tale about a company in the war who made history.

Richard Winters, a highly decorated World War II hero who became a household name when his heroics were chronicled in Stephen Ambrose book Band of Brothers. Winters passed away Jan 10 2011, but he will always be fondly remembered not only for all he did in the Airborne Regiment in Normandy during World War Two, but also for the great man and leader that he was. Ambrose chronicled this time in his life in his book Band-Brothers that later became a great HOB miniseries. I watched the movie first and was in love with it from the start, so when I had the chance to read the book I grabbed it, know that the book would be even better and it was not a disappointment. Ambrose spoke to many of the men that were apart of the same company of paratroopers through their experiences in Europe during World War Two, from their basic training to their drop into Normandy on D-Day through to the end of the war. What makes me love this book more then other of its type is that its stories are from the real men that were there. They truly fought with all their heart and soles and enduring incredible hardships through out their time there. They stuck together like no others, like the band of brothers they were. These stories are absolutely increasable to read about and they make you appreciate what these men did and over came for our sake’s and the worlds. Band of Brothers is a must read for anyone, you may cry, you may laugh, but you will definitely come away from it with a much greater appreciation for what all of these men went through and did for all of us! Band of Brothers is available in hard cover for $19.80 and in paper back for $11.56 on Amazon.com.
