Better than others
I have been using this foundation for a few years now. I like that it's lightweight, doesn't feel greasy or heavy on my skin. I don't like that it settles in fine lines! I use primer and have tried to set my foundation using powder, but it still shows up in fine lines later in the day. I am trying to find something better, but haven't as yet. I am in my 50's, so maybe I won't find something that works better. I also love the way that it blends into my skin and I don't have a line of demarcation. All in all, I would recommend it for any skin type. It has started to go up in price, that is why I started to look for other brands.
I love this product because it is light and makes your skin dewy and fresh. It's not a heavy coverage if used properly so you don't look over made up; just brighter and alert! What I don't like about this product is that I find the container it comes in leaky; this has twice now sort of poured out the top when I've opened it, almost like air built up and forced the product out. I'm not sure if that's just my experience or not.
I discovered this product at Sephora. I decided to try out the Bare Caramel 14. I really enjoyed this product. So much that I'm almost out and I will buy more of it. With the help of a little sponge, I pat it around my face & neck. It goes on nice & smooth. It doesn't dry out in spots. Very easy to apply evenly. I like how it lasts the day and doesn't feel heavy or cakey.
I just started using this foundation when I got it as a sample and I love it! It applies beautifully and it doesn't even feel like I'm wearing makeup during the day. The coverage is on the lighter side but makes my skin look very natural and radiant. I apply it with my fingers and it goes on smoothly but it's important that you shake it well before using. The SPF in it is an added bonus.
This has been my long time fav foundation. It is light weight, yet still such a great coverage foundation. It goes on really wet, but covers so much of your face. It doesn't leave you feeling Caked, and it really lasts throughout the day. Such an awesome foundation.
I've tried this product in shade bare satin and I like the product,it has a beautiful satin finish,I like the oily texture (my skin is little dry this time) but if you have an oily skin that maybe couldn't fit your skin or try to use compact powder to set it, easy to spread over and it doesn't dry your skin.
I used Bare Minerals powder foundation for many years...when my color (medium tan) was sold out and I ran out of my powder foundation, I tried the next thing...bare Mineral Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation.
Pros:
-Glides on smoothly. It suggested that I use the bare minerals brush but I use my own stippling brush - works just as good!
-blurs out my fine lines and wrinkles ( i am 38yrs old)
-lasts all day
Cons:
-Cost $36 CDN, i think this is a bit steep for me personally, but I would buy it again!
-packaging; you have to shake it before you remove the lid, however when you remove the lid, sometimes, it starts bubbling over and there's alot of wastage. I exchanged it for another bottle but it did the same thing. Sephora stated that it happens alot. Sometimes, then nothing will come out either. i'm not sure why this is but Bare Mineral needs to look into this.
Beautiful foundation, sits very well on dry skin, lots of colours so that anyone can find a match, on the more affordable "luxury" end.
I didn't buy the brush that came with it, my sigma flat top does essentially the same thing.
It's very easy to apply and blends really well, we understand why it's called bare skin because it blends amazingly into your own skin, it's very long lasting and keeps you looking flawless throughout the day! The only thing about this is that the scent is a little odd but other than that we can't fault it!
Great combo of moisturizer and primer that also adds some sparkle to sometimes dull skin!
