this is the only foundation i have been using for the past 3 years & i will never go back to liquids/creams. after suffering from severe acne for most of my life, i decided to stop piling on the makeup(to cover it up) & take a natural approach. this foundation did it for me! i no longer break out or have the redness & irritation i used to have. my skin is oily & this lasts even when the oil starts breaking through, i still look fresh. my only gripe is the price which is easily solved by buying new sealed jars off ebay.

My skin tone is fair and I sometime have redness on my cheeks and nose. This product was a life saver. When I apply it, I can barely feel it on my face, it is so light. My skin tone is finally even and it looks so natural, none of my friends can tell that I am wearing foundation.

This makeup is great if you love the more natural and light feel. It goes on so smooth and feels so light, but also provides wonderful coverage. I also love the fact that it is all minerals and gentle enough to sleep in.

I bought the starter kit from Shoppers and was super happy with it. I personally never used to wear makeup because I hated the heavy feeling of it and I hated looking like I was wearing makeup. This product made me rethink all of my previous assumptions. It's really light, natural looking, and it really covers. Lasted about 3 months for me and I will definitely be buying it again. The only downside is the loose form of the powder, you have to be pretty careful opening the pots and make sure you are applying it in a steady environment.

OK, I finally worked up the guts to get and try this product...
I am a foundation addict, so it took a lot for me to give in to this... my main concern being the coverage and "lasting power".
Long story short, I love Bare Minerals.
It covers well, (surprisingly well), it's relatively easy to apply (another concern I had, with the powders), it looks very very natural (main reason I decided to give up my heavy duty foundation), and it lasts long (my days usually go for 14-15 hrs). It doesn't run, nor does it fade, doesn't shine and manages to stay put the entire day. Last, but not least... my skin feels better, and looks better. No more clogged pores and congested, sufocated skin, major issues I had previously with me heavy duty foundation.
I got the starters kit, which is plenty... and considering my previous fundation costed about half the price of the kit, and lasted for 2 months, it's not a huge difference.
I really really like this stuff! It surprised me on how good it is!

I have a sort of love hater relationship with any makeup I've ever had, and Bare Minerals Foundation is no exception. I have noticed my acne scars becoming less irritated and slightly vanishing after using this, which is always a plus. But, I have also noticed that it doesn't really tame down redness when you first apply it which kind of irks me. I also have noticed it doesn't really blend well with my skin, but that could be the drier skin I've had this winter ;). All in all, this is a very average product, especially if you're going for that natural/flawless look and aren't already, well, flawless.

Not for large pores-

I switched to Bare Minerals from using covergirl foundation. It definitely worked to clear my skin up. I used it for years and like it, though it never seemed to lay perfect on my skin-I thoght it might be just my skin. The reason I am not recommending it is that I recently had a beauty consultation and learned that the reason I felt it did not lay on my skin was because I had larger pores, and the powder settled in on it. I switched to a department store brand, which is a little more expensive but minimizes my pores. I think that Bare Minerals would work great for someone with smaller pores.
