Great product, works great on oily skin

This product is amazinggggg... when i saw the matte version of bareminerals, i had to try it out since i have oily/acne prone skin. i got rid of all of my liquid foundations... all from A-Z. sooooooooooo happy this product was created! i noticed that it works great with the skin. it reduces breakouts, speeds up healing process from small breakouts, oil-controlling, natural looking, and u only need to use a small amount and never looks cakey. problem is the convenience with the packaging. it can be a bit messy if not cautious... otherwise, an outsanding product =)

I bought the start-up kit based on all of the amazing reviews. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. This stuff is very expensive, so I guess I was expecting better results. I have dry skin and the Bare Minerals just seemed to accentuate that fact. I used a moisturizer and prime time prior to the powder but my skin looked so much more dry and flaky after applying the powder. It's also messy. I'm glad to hear it works for so many, but I think I will stick with my liquid foundation which works great.

Love it! For adult oily/acne prone skin like mine, most/all foundations either dry out my skin or make me sooooo shiny and don't hide anything.
Was a little dismayed when I first ordered the starter kit off the BE site, and how small the containers are.
But, you really don't use that much product at all. Compared to liquid foundations, I would say the price is comparable when you think about how much you use over months. And, *hint* - order off ebay, great deals! i just ordered a whole bunch more in the full sizes. Beware of imitations!
First day I wore it to work I was nervous thinking that it showed my flaws, after all, felt like I was wearing nothing, and after yrs of heavy foundation and spending so much time covering things it takes time to get used to both the quick application and no layers of heavy makeup. But trust me, you feel so free with out all that goop on your face! And look better too.
Oh, and for ppl who break out like me, be careful bout washing your brushes regularly, and don't use harsh acne products on your skin, in my experience, things heal faster and look better when you stay with a nice oil free moisturizer rather than drying your face out. btw, I use Quo cleaner, not the BE one.
BE does a way better job than liquid foundations at controlling shine, especially when using with the mineral veil.
One bad thing, the warmth does look silly on me in the middle of winter with very pale skin. Not streaky, just obviously THERE in comparison to ghastly paleness.:)
Overall, great product, like it! Try it.

I want to start by saying that powder foundation is not for everyone. I had bought a starter kit and I absolutely loved it, when it ran out I went and bought another concealer and foundation full size. I also bought a skin enhancers kit which I really liked well.
What do I like about it : 1) looks natural 2) cover small spots and acne 3) glides on easily and 4) easier to apply that liquid or cream (on my face at least).
What I don't like about it: the size of the containers in the starter kits make it hard to apply because they are so small.
Saying all that, I tried to use the Well Rested concealer on my mom's face and it didn't go on as nicely as on my face. I don't know why, but on my mom it looked too powdery.
I think everyone should give Bare Minerals a try, even just as a sample or as makeover in Sephora, however don't take it hard if it is not for you.

I received a sample of this with something else I ordered from Sephora and was not impressed. I really dont see the difference. I also have dry skin so don't feel like it adds the moisture that I need. Maybe I am not applying correctly!

I have been using Bare Escentuals as my main foundation for about 3 years now. While it doesn't offer heavy coverage, it is a consistent product that evens out my skin tone without leaving me looking like the makeup is caked on. The brushes really make a difference - the concealer brush especially. I dont' use the mineral veil at all - just the foundation and 'warmth' - I especially love the warmth. It does just that - warms up your look without being 'blushy'.

this is an amazing product i had acme really bad when starting this and after using it for a while my skin is so much better and everyone tells me when i wear it how great it looks

LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. Its the perfect coverage (medium). I enjoy that I don't feel my make up. I get sooo many compliments about my SKIN, and not the makeup....people say "oh your skin looks amazing today"...i just don't tell them that its not my skin but the MAKEUP. The only negative is that it can be time consuming at first, but as you get better with your application you can get it done pretty quickly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

Love this product. Great for sensative skin. Applies well, and is not cakey. Great color pallet, to match any skin tone.
