This was my least favorite out of all the chocolate bars, but for one specific reason- I was expect the peanut brittle to be like actual peanut brittle, but it was more of the hard spongey texture that is in a Crunchie bar (which I really don't like, haha). If you don't mind that texture, it would've been fine, but I'm not a big fan. The actual chocolate was really good, though!

Let me first say that I really like all of Baroness Chocolates. All seven that I received to review have been very nice! The Subversive Squirrel is made of dark chocolate, salted peanuts and peanut brittle. What I really like about it is the crunch and the sweetness that doesn't let the bitterness of dark chocolate become too overpowering.

Subversive Squirrel was a very interesting mix of Dark Chocolate, Salted Peanuts and Peanut Brittle. I thought it might taste too sweet with the Peanut Brittle - but with the quality Dark Chocolate the combination hit just the right level of sweetness! I also love the little sayings on each Baroness Bar - keeps things quirky and fun! Ethically sourced, Organic and made with high quality ingredients - loved all the bars I was fortunate enough to test through the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club!

I don't normally like dark chocolate because I am such a sugar fiend, but this chocolate bar was pretty amazing. The peanuts added this wonderful crunch and flavour that really made this chocolate bar much more full bodied. This is the perfect snack if you're looking for just a little bit of sweetness. Dark chocolate fans will be ALL OVER this!

I have to admit that I never considered myself a fan of dark chocolate, but these chocolates have legitimate turned my world upside down. Trying this bar with peanuts and ACTUAL pieces of peanut brittle... Blew. My. Mind.

It's another great combination that I wouldn't typically try, but ended up loving. The dark chocolate lovers in my office loved it too.

I did not enjoy the dark chocolate in this bar. It was a bit much for me. The crunchy peanuts and brittle made this bar a bit enjoyable for me but the dark chocolate over powered it.

I recommend this chocolate because I think that anyone who enjoys dark chocolate will enjoy this bar. It is high quality and cream, just wish it was milk chocolate but everyone deserves to enjoy a high quality chocolate so I will leave this one for the dark chocolate lovers.

A very dark deep chocolate with crunchy peanuts and brittle.

I dont normally like dark chocolate, but this bar did taste like gourmet chocolate. I was expecting more peanuts and brittle. I also expected the bar to look like the picture which it did not. I also talked to the owner over the phone and he said that they are changing all of their peanut products to almond products. I love peanuts and was dissapointed that they are going to discontinue peanuts.

I don't typically like chocolate bars that are 100% completely dark chocolate, but I actually liked this! It wasn't bitter like a lot of other brands have been. It has a nice hint of sweetness. I also really liked the packaging of this product. It is bright, colorful, and fun. It captures your attention. I like that this product is high quality. It is very rich in taste. The crunchy peanuts and brittle with the rich chocolate are a perfect combination of textures and flavors.

This was one of my favourite bars of the seven baroness chocolate bars I received as part of Chick Advisor's Review Club. Firstly, I loved the packaging - very cute and colourful. Like the rest of the baroness chocolate bars I received I found that the quality of chocolate was very good. I also loved the flavour - dark chocolate is my favourite kind and this one did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the peanuts and the brittle was delicious.

However, I found the bar very difficult to break into pieces. The bar itself was quite thick and because of the extra layer of chocolate covering the "toppings" (as the company has recently changed their chocolate recipe and now includes the toppings inside the bar instead of on the top), the bar was especially hard to break apart, often crumbling to pieces and being quite messy when trying to break a piece off. I would love for it to be a bit thinner and to have the peanuts and brittle a bit more evenly spaced out among the bar so that each bite had some delicious brittle and peanuts!

Overall though Baroness is a great brand that I will continue to support. Not only do they offer premium quality chocolate but its fair trade, organic, sustainably harvested and made right here in Canada. Love it!

I'm not usually a fan of super dark chocolate, but this was actually pretty good. It wasn't bitter and wasn't overly sweet which was really nice. But... Where are the peanuts? I got through a quarter of this bar and didn't detect any peanuts in it. There was lots of crunchy candy though, which was lovely. My biggest complaint about this bar in particular was the packaging. The end of the package wasn't full sealed, so it was kind of open at the bottom. Not great for their quality control, but I ate it anyway... :D

Because of the missing peanuts, this one did not satisfy my craving for something sweet and salty. Such a shame!

The most appealing thing about Baroness chocolates for me is that they are hand made right here in Canada. Awesome. Sure they're gluten free, organic, GMO free, and taste amazing, but I'm all about locally made products!

Baroness chocolates are so far above anything I'd typically buy for myself. It is truly premium chocolate and a huge step above the rest.

I will definitely be buying Baroness chocolate bars again, and if my girlfriends are lucky, I just might share with them too!
