As someone who is just recently venturing into the world of dark chocolate I was pleased to try Baroness Chocolates Subversive Squirrel. This chocolate bar contains dark chocolate with crunchy peanuts and brittle. As far as dark chocolates go if I were to venture for a bar that wasn't my usual milk chocolate this would be the one I would purchase. One to two pieces is just enough to hit the spot. I'm not the biggest fan of dark chocolate but when I received this as part of the Product Review Club I was quite pleased. It doesn't have that bitter taste I find some dark chocolate brands to have. I would purchase this in the future.

Oh my goodness, you know when you are having a double craving? I'm talking about when you want something sweet (preferably chocolate), but something salty at the same time. We all get this way. When it happens to you, you need this chocolate bar! When I first tried it, it felt like a luxurious bite of heaven in my mouth. I am officially a subversive squirrel.

Subversive Squirrel was a very interesting mix of Dark Chocolate, Salted Peanuts and Peanut Brittle. I thought it might taste too sweet with the Peanut Brittle - but with the quality Dark Chocolate the combination hit just the right level of sweetness! I also love the little sayings on each Baroness Bar - keeps things quirky and fun! Ethically sourced, Organic and made with high quality ingredients - loved all the bars I was fortunate enough to test through the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club!

I did not enjoy the dark chocolate in this bar. It was a bit much for me. The crunchy peanuts and brittle made this bar a bit enjoyable for me but the dark chocolate over powered it.

I recommend this chocolate because I think that anyone who enjoys dark chocolate will enjoy this bar. It is high quality and cream, just wish it was milk chocolate but everyone deserves to enjoy a high quality chocolate so I will leave this one for the dark chocolate lovers.

A very dark deep chocolate with crunchy peanuts and brittle.

I dont normally like dark chocolate, but this bar did taste like gourmet chocolate. I was expecting more peanuts and brittle. I also expected the bar to look like the picture which it did not. I also talked to the owner over the phone and he said that they are changing all of their peanut products to almond products. I love peanuts and was dissapointed that they are going to discontinue peanuts.

I'm not usually a fan of super dark chocolate, but this was actually pretty good. It wasn't bitter and wasn't overly sweet which was really nice. But... Where are the peanuts? I got through a quarter of this bar and didn't detect any peanuts in it. There was lots of crunchy candy though, which was lovely. My biggest complaint about this bar in particular was the packaging. The end of the package wasn't full sealed, so it was kind of open at the bottom. Not great for their quality control, but I ate it anyway... :D

Because of the missing peanuts, this one did not satisfy my craving for something sweet and salty. Such a shame!

The most appealing thing about Baroness chocolates for me is that they are hand made right here in Canada. Awesome. Sure they're gluten free, organic, GMO free, and taste amazing, but I'm all about locally made products!

Baroness chocolates are so far above anything I'd typically buy for myself. It is truly premium chocolate and a huge step above the rest.

I will definitely be buying Baroness chocolate bars again, and if my girlfriends are lucky, I just might share with them too!

I received this for free as part of the product review club. This bar is definitely on the bitter side as it is all dark chocolate. I personally liked the milkier ones more since they are sweeter. The chocolate itself is still very smooth and you can tell it's of high quality. You can definitely taste the salt from the peanuts, which adds a nice dimension to the chocolate.

I received a Baroness Chocolates Subversive Squirrel bar from the Product Review Club. With this bar being dark chocolate I didn't have high hopes. I was happily surprised by this bar. The brittle gave me the hint of sweetness I wanted and the peanuts added a nice crunch.

i received this chocolate bar as part of the chick advisor product review club! I loved the cute name but was confused about why the actual chocolate bar looked different than the picture on the packaging. I love dark chocolate so it didn't disappoint in that aspect, I just would have liked to see more inside the actual bar, i.e.- more brittle.

Subversive Squirrel is great! The dark chocolate flavour was very prominent also the smell of the dark chocolate was great. The brittle was more like the toffee from the crunchie bar which was still as good but provided a nice texture. There wasn't much peanuts though. It didn't look like the bar pictured on the cover which I thought was kinda weird but other people received the same ones I did..
